Going of Master chief collection, I think I'll wait until 6 months after release before buying. Hopefully by then they will have fixed the majority of the online issues and it'll be at least basically playable if still not great.

Yeah I mean it's not like they're actually going to learn from their mistakes to stop them going through all that hassle again. I'm sure they'd love that.

Gta Online was a mess at launch but I'm sure you and everyone else making this comment won't hesitate to get the next one on launch.

zavi have always let me down so it's a no from me

If they did it would be a first.

Although i will admit that despite my snarky comments I'll probably end up grabbing this around release purely because the majority of my friends will, and I'll want to play with them.

I suppose it's not really any shock that they don't "learn from their mistakes" when we just swallow it and come back for more.

It's a sad day when 38 quid is considered a bargain for the standard version of a game.

Agree

Haha, after MCC I think I will wait. And it will be LESS expensive, not more.

MCC left me frustrated with 343. #343brokehalo

Yeah pretty much this. What have us gamers turned into nowadays? Being vocal about it simply isn't enough, the only way these idiots will listen is if you stop buying the games on release. Its just that people seem to assume there is this obligation to buy the game by default for whatever reason despite whatever state its in.

I'm particularly saying this to the DLC hoarders. You realise thats just money STRAIGHT into their pocket right? Because buying the game merely isn't enough these days. Also please don't give me the 'yeah but games are expensive to make' argument. Firstly how much do us poor Brits get taxed again? Secondly delay, delay delay! Thirdly announcing the DLC before release..REALLY!? Can anyone with a brain really defend that ploy? LOL

It takes ages to get connected to a multiplayer game in mcc, and not forgetting the endless updates

Completely agree about what you said about DLC. Seeing a season pass preorder before a game has even been released is ridiculous, especially day 1 Dlc. Plus not even all DLC is on the season pass! Big expansions are fine, but all the little crappy bits that are offered are the problem, especially when it's just cut content. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the majority are going to stop buying it, but I just hope the recent Arkham Knight Season Pass pricing isn't an indication of how much worse things are going to be.

the game hasn't even been released yet and it's already being slated? If you don't want to get it on release that's fine. I will probably leave it for a month or two but there's still time for them to polish it off yet. If they at least have some good games testers who aren't lazy then it might not be such a catastrophe. Just wait until it comes out and then decide. Give the company a break. It's not like they're ubisoft where they released unity when it was extremely buggy and tgen a few days later leak photos of victory then announce it straight away.

If you read my first comment I was defending this game, not slating it. I'm confident it will be fine when released. The comment you quoted from me is completely irrelevant to Halo and was about DLC which was a completely different topic.

Honestly MCC was more broken than unity and unity was fixed in less than half the time.

I agree you need to vote with you wallet and not just whine, but multiplayer games unfortunately have an edge where they've got a shelf life before people get bored and go play the next big game. Single player games you can play whenever and get the exact same experience.

story is utter nonsense. 2nd game was nowhere near finished on release. That set a precedent for other companies to release broken software. Bungie never did admit it.
