If you have been waiting for this to drop to £15.00 and it is now £14.98 surely you have to get this or the limits and promises that you set yourself are lies and are pointless! :whistling:

lol - yeah ordered just after I posted - just had a text to say it's been dispatched already

After playing the demo I decided to make myself wait - I've been busy with Civ Rev anyway but wasn't going to buy anything else this month - oh well - I'd hate to lie to myself or I might not believe myself next time I think something and that could get complicated!

Just like your sentence structure

I love Halo but hate RTS which is why I've always passed on this one really.

Most RTS games on consoles are ports of PC releases and the controls suffer becasue of that. Replacing a keyboard and mouse with a joypad is never going to have a happy ending. The controls for Halo Wars were designed for the 360 controller from the off and presonally I think it's the only console RTS that's nailed the control system. I really enjoyed playing it and thought it was an excellent game.

Yeah, to be honest the control system is simple, which works loads better on the console. C&C was always going to be a bit overcomplicated, and it was.

It's kind of RTS Lite as it isn't anywhere near as complex as c&c - and there isn't as much to it. But thats probably a good thing as the die hards of the genre should be on the PC anyway. Reminds me a little of Z soldiers in that respect (I think it was Z soldiers anyway, early 90s by bitmap brothers? Anyone?)

Good price but for for the ultimate playskool RTS IMO. its actually hard to be very cleverly tactical in the game i found. Holds your hand in base building which is one of the most tactical aspects of this kind of RTS (defence placement, sequence etc) and restricts units greatly. Would be a nothing game if it werent for the halo name slapped on the box. Oh well.

I think it's me to be honest, I like the idea of playing as a soldier in a war etc but I'm not much into drawing boxes around men and sending them to places. I've never really been into games where you have to command a team either really.
