It might be a good price but you really want to be thinking of going for a low energy LED flood light.

Surely they are no way as bright as a 500w halogen bulb ?

No they're not, but I would say that 500 watts is excessive for most people.

It probably is we have 150w in ours but it lights up all of the garden i doubt a LED one would do the same

Well ]this one is described as being a perfect alternative to a conventional 150-300 watt light.

Yes it doesn't make sense on the face of it, but if you take into account the short longevity of halogen bulbs and the running costs and the planet then an LED light does make sense. Basically you could leave one on almost permanently without having to worry about the bulb going in next to no time and the costs.

You can get 2 halogen bulbs for £1 , i would change to a LED one if it was say £20 but not nearly £60 at that price its way too expensive.

Add up the total wattage for every light bulb you have in the house and unless you live in Beckingham Palace i'd be surprised if it exceeds that one little light on your outside wall.

Fitted some of those low energy fittings - they give off a strange light, unlike a 500w halogen which illuminates the area instantly! hopefully blinding the offender:thumbsup:
