Could i use this in the office?

I can't see why not. My Auntie has 2 of them, one for home and the other is at her static caravan, she loves hers. I have been thinking of getting one for a while.
If the bulb goes, does the lid have to be replaced. or just the bulb?

Just the bulb. From what I can gather, it seems they are all the same fitting too. You can pick one up on ebay for about a tenner.

Depends on the brand, I'm actually in the market for one of these.
Can't see the brand for the one on Aldi so don''t really know which reviews to read, unless you mean Halogen ovens in general.

Currently eyeing up the Andrew James Digital one from Amazon.
Lidl, this Thursday has a Russel Hobb halogen oven in stock (I think around £40), but read that the reviews for that item was not too good. Also check what else is included (accessories).

I posted the Lidl's Russell Hobbs deal too as I am looking for the best deal. I can't see a brand on the Aldi one either. I think to generalise and say halogen ovens are rubbish is wrong. It's like saying microwaves are rubbish? I know people that have halogen ovens and love them. Both this oven and the Russell hobbs oven have the extension ring, lid holder, tongs etcs, which some models don't come with. One model I looked at didn't have anything with the oven and it was an extra £8 for the lid holder oO
These are great for some things and rubbish for others, trial and error.Cant really go wrong with a 3 year warranty and use much less power than a conventional oven.
Apparently the Aldi ones might be made by Delta

Have just bought an Andrew James Premium for £40 delivered.

Has " £40 " of extras, including the lid stand, replacement bulb and 2 year warranty.
Bought the lowry one for £24from morrisons on xmas eve to do xmas days pork joint. Returned for full refund straight after Xmas!
It was only a small joint & manual said 1hr for a larger one. After 1hr it looked lovely, but was still bleeding inside! Another hour later & the outside is burnt to a crisp, it's shrunk to about half the size yet still raw in the centre!
My mum's on her second one (JML I think) and loves it especially for grilled chicken! I was eyeing this one uip before Christmas for myself

Hmmm wonder how good the 3yr warranty is.....

i have one of these (the tj hughs one now) have had for the last 5 yrs and they are great! i only use the main oven if im cooking for alot of people or something like christmas dinner. I do everything in mine. Had the jml one previously and havent found any difference in them at all.

A great addition to any kitchen at a fab price from what i can see. Cuts down on energy bills, cooks quicker and everything comes out tasting good.

Nice find op! x

That's the one I liked too. The replacement bulb was the clicher for me. I am after the Andrew James 12 LTR Black Premium Digital which is not in stock yet (white one is though), for £45 plus delivery.

Thanks for the heads-up. i think (on the whole) I'll leave it for now. The postage to send one back could be quite a lot.
This is on sale from today, but after reading the comments, I decided to give it a miss.
I would have bought it if I knew I can return it after trying it, but the ALDI return policy mentions "original condition" .

Remember, this unit has a 3 year warranty! Get it replaced or refunded if the bulb goes.

Previous, when we have had faulty stuff from Aldi, they have sent a replacement out with a postage paid label to send the old one back.

The trick with these seems to be to use a lower temperature than the recipe calls for.

For example, if the instructions for a conventional oven call for 200, set the halogen to 180 (or lower).

Failure to do so leads to a burnt outside and raw inside.

Thanks for the tip. I think my mum already does frozen pizzas in it like that.
