Nice find thanks just reserved one..
Only 1 left in South Ruislip.

The Hama tripods from 7dayshop are probably better value.

Hama ones are double the price

Looks like the one I bought from then years and years ago. It is still going strong and has been chucked about all over the place. A great deal. Anyone that has a camera should have a tripod like this. Even if you only need it once or twice a year it is worth investing six quid surely? Hot.

great spot got mine cheers heat added

Hot - Got the last one near me

I have one of these - absolutely fine for normal cameras but when I got my Canon 5D I had to get something much better and carbon fibre which cost upto £400.

Good price as mine cost about £30 in PC World a decade ago

Just reserved one thank you!

Good deal at this price for a small camera - if you want one for a DSLR and take proper pics then you need to spend a bit more on a quality product...still hot though at this price - good for compact use.

do you really need to mention your Canon 5D on almost every photography thread? oO

Sometimes the cheap ones can be perfectly fine for DSLRs, just they're generally not compact when packed down.

I have one like this, that is just fatter and has a bigger head (mount and height), cost £10 and is ace (I have a compact one for travelling and my cheap one is more sturdy still).

btw. 1.47m isn't very high for a camera, that's lower than most peoples eye level.

Seems like a bargain to me.

Have some heat, great price , would suit most amateur requirements & quite light.
Others are much sturdier but heavier & many times dearer.

"Unable to check stock at this time"???

thanks, reserved the last one near me :o)

Reserved the last one near me, Already got a manfrotto but this one looks better for chucking around, and panning for video

garbage tripod no doubt, but for the kids at school, perfect

Just reserved the last one here, heat added. Thanks OP

OOS near me, but they have the 167cm one at half price, reserved for £15 and got great reviews.

When it is photography related, why not? (mentioned it on a lens thread, camera bag thread and now a tripod thread).... If someone is thinking of getting a tripod for a DSLR, hopefully my advice will help them. When I first got a DSLR I thought I could use one of these.

I get your point though...I am in love with Photography and feel I have to tell everyone about the current love of my life

I obviously left a lasting impression on you.

I have a similar one and its fine for my 500d

Would this work with my 1000D

Got last one in stock in Kendal. Worth the same price as 2 pints, can use it a few times then chuck if it's cack. Ideal.

A Canon 5D is a normal camera. It is expensive, it is a professional model, but it is still a normal camera.

This tripod will work perfectly well with a Canon 5D, with a small lens. The body of the camera (even with a heavier body like the 5D) does not affect the performance of the tripod so long as you position the legs correctly. What does affect the performance and stability is the lens, which you fail to mention. A long lens on a camera body mounted on a cheap tripod is often a big no-no (although there are ways around it by hanging your bag off the tripod centrum to help weight it or spiking the opposite leg into soft ground), but even then there are limits. You also do not need a carbon fibre tripod for a Canon 5D. They work perfectly well on aluminium or steel tripods. The reason you might need a carbon fibre one is if you need the lighter weight for carrying it about the hills, not because you have a Canon 5D.

Hot - Got the last one near me

Non in the Telford/Srewsbury/Wolverhampton area.

Mine broke almost straight away, the hinge at the bottom middle.

If these are the same as what they sold about 1-2 years ago at Argos then they are identical to the HAMA ones. I know 2 people, one had the HAMA 7dayshop and one the Argos, they were exactly the same.
