Hamilton automatic - £395 @ Ernest Jones

Found 31st Dec 2017
Cheapest I've seen this. Suggested RRP is £690.

Pretty standard, albeit modified, ETA movement.

Greater starter for someone looking to get into mechanical watches.

Nice little watch. Have some heat!
Hamilton do some great watches, hot for an auto although for this money I'd be looking at the khaki field range which are fantastic
Hamilton Jazzmaster £311@creation watches. Looks very similar to this.

Very few deals on them unfortunately. Lots of eBay fakes tho!
With the white dial will be perfect for me.

Very true, you've got to be careful on Ebay with these. They are becoming an iconic watch though for the brand and timeless look. Not detracting from the OP though, this one is great value.

For the poster above recommending Creation watches, beware that they are now no longer understating the item value on the packaging and you're much more likely to get stung for import duty+VAT. Not many according to the various watch forums are getting through now.

I've bought loads of times from creation. Never had any of those charges. They usually mark the package as low value and gift. Never had an issue.

Edit - just seen the comment above, didn't know they have changed how they declare their packaging. Will bear this in mind in future....

Wearing mine right now! Great quality finish on watches and super Swiss movements. Mine appears to be accurate to within 3 per day.
Heated...
I started to think about another watch. I just got one on Xmas...
Don’t forget 10% off at Ernest Jones when you register. I just bought a Tag and tried to use it and that offer doesn’t apply on Tag, Omega etc...
Any good 38mm Swiss watched

A watch is for life not just for Christmas. And you can never have too many watches.

Bought an orient star few weeks back from creation and had to pay import duty so can back this up.

So it's not accurate then?...

Yeah, it's accurate to within 3 days per day. Pretty good, yeah?

3 seconds a day would annoy me...[Image]

I was making a joke about 3 days per day, btw. I have some decent omega quartz watches and other cheapos, but I prefer mechanical. The watches I like best are electro-mechanical in the gap between mechanical and quartz. They're the least accurate and reliable, but my favourite.

Not always about numbers. At one time I had 2 cars and 3 bikes. I still have one of those - a 1978 Moto Guzzi. Not fast. Not powerful. Not good suspension. Loved riding it, the sound, the feel.

I often like to wear old beaters. They will lose 3 min per day but that is just 'the way they are'. I also have a Casio that updates every night - but its a sterile unenjoyable watch. And I don't need to organise my life to within 2 mins usually per day.

I bought from them a few months ago. I googled and every result said it’d be fine as they mark the packaging as gift/watch part etc. Once I ordered I realised that all these results were pre-2017. Once I manually dug out some newer threads on watchseek forums it seems Customs just started pulling everything from Creation and most other overseas watch sellers. I guess as a result they know mark the packets accordingly.

I got lucky, in that my watch worked out the same as Amazon with the extra put on. But as above, the days of tax free watches appears to be gone.
thanks op. I purchased this with the £30 off voucher aswell bringing it down to 365 with free postage. The watch has gone off the site now hope i dont recieve an email saying there out of stock
