I got a Hamilton in my collection and wearing it now actually, runs pretty fast if you want to split hairs but a very nice watch for the money:

LOOK THIS IS STARTING TO GET RIDICULOUS!!!
38mm would be too small on my wrist...but for £255...
is this better than Citizen Supertough Titanium Ray Mears?

Possibly a silly question, but why? Just too much temptation?

Better is a difficult question as they are a different thing - the answer is to buy both.

Depends, if the canopy in the jungle is to dense the citizen may not have enough light to function. It needs 11 hours for 6months. I'd go with the Hamilton.

I bet it wouldn't, in reality. I've got an 8.75" wrist and I wear from 34mm upwards. My current preference is 38-39mm vintage Vostoks. I go up to mid 50s for some of the G-shocks I have though.

I have a short list of watches. Hamilton wasn't on it as a beater option wasn't going to pay MRRP but jumped at last weeks post H70535081 (swapped for H70535031) as no way would pay MRRP on that model, but £390 was good.

However the mechanical at £255 with a nice leather strap added. £150 in pocket ready to pull on the next Oris (Sinn please oh please Sinn )

Lug to lug is long- does wear a little bigger than size suggests 😄 🏻
Damn now I’m tempted just a shame about the colour

Unreal price! Absolutely adore these, I’ve owned a couple now- in fact, I’ve just sold my white dial version actually 😬
Not a fan of the brown dial but hot for the deal

Gee thanks haha. I just don't know if putting subtle leather strap on the H70535031 is a better long term investment over this. I'll likely be using to trade up in future. Mechanical trendy just now, etc

I love the H70535031 to be honest- resale will definitely be better on it. I think it would be perfect on a leather

Do you know how much time it’s gaining/losing?
How much would a replacement strap for this be?

Thanks buddy, that's helping me stick to guns. 2836-2 movement in it is good...i think after ironically losing hours searching for and reading reviews just on the movement. A further irony is spending so much time in doors reading reviews in field watches
I'd read reviews saying it holds +2 seconds a day... Which is tremendous if true

Cheap as chips. Get a nice 2 piece leather or NATO for it. Worth checking out cheapestnatostraps.com or watchgecko. I wouldn’t buy an official Hamilton one.
They takin' the P? "Movement: Hand-Wound Mechanical"

Looks like it's a H-50 like the last one (white face) that may be prone to faults over the ETAs.

Oh really is that not a good movement
Both of mine were good time keepers. My first one ran at average of +3 seconds and my most recent is +5 seconds.

It's quite a lot, I'd say around 10 seconds a day. I got a couple of Omega's so obviously bundles more expensive but still part of Swatch Group nonetheless and they only gain 2 or 3 seconds a day max.

Which Omegas do you have? Would you recommend spending a little more to get more (from the same watch group)?

You’re right. Definitely on the High end. I’ve owned around 6 Hamilton’s now and the highest gain for mine is +5

Dude thanks for this link, this site looks amazing

Fantastic little movement, nothing wrong with it buddy. The H-50 (in this) is an ETA base 2801-2. Just modified by Hamilton for increase in power reserve.

I got the the 007 Seamaster Commander watch which is with my AD as I'm trying to out that to put toward getting the new orange bezel Planet Ocean and I've also got this two-tone Sedna gold+steel Seamaster Diver too:

It’s a pretty good company! I ordered around 10 straps from them a few months ago. Such a massive range of straps

I am a massive Omega fan so I would recommend them over Rolex any day so yeah I'd say they're worth the money, there's a stunning Seamaster Aqua Terra Golf edition with a white dial and orange+black NATO strap I keep ogling too

Last time this was on here but white face I was picking up chatter about H50s failing so put me off. Less ticks per min too over the ETAs, so no really smooth second hand glide, which I like to see with mechanical watches. Better reserve but of no consequence to me. Some chatter ^ was about main spring breaking iirc. Maybe to do with upping the reserve?
Edited by: "Meathotukdeals" 8th Aug
Coincidence that the H50 models are the ones being discounted?
Not going to waste my time talking - just gonna vote hot!!
