Quartz version.
Well, this price isn't much different to the Auto Tissot Visodate posted a few days ago! I know where my £250 sov's would go! Not on this bland quartz version.....

Absolutely no issue with this being a quartz as it has no second's hand. The hour and minute hand will still run smoothly. If this was mechanical, the face and movement of the hands would be exactly the same, but the timekeeping less accurate.

Now if it had a second hand, it would be a different matter.

Basically your telling us the watch will work!
So the only benefit you think for having a mechanical/auto watch is the movement of the seconds hand?
Wow

I don't have a problem with Quartz! I have many Quartz watches! However this particular watch being quartz for that price isn't really a great option in my opinion.

Instead of being condescending, perhaps try sharing your knowledge. I think it would lead to more civil discussions in watch threads.

Mechanical watches have no advantages as time pieces, condescension may be all there is.

Except that they have class, heritage & style which most non watch fanatics don’t really get.
There are countless, much less boring (not difficult) looking autos (& quartz) available for similar prices or less.

Sorry - I should have said time 'keepers'. Watch people call them 'pieces' so I was a bit unclear.

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the craftsmanship and mechanical wonder (less the financial one-upmanship), but mechanical watches are a niche product - even though there are some very good inexpensive movements these days.

I think the same argument would apply to riding a Penny-farthing.
