Also worth looking at the CWC Mellor 72 from CWC watch.com.

The chap who was running Hamilton in the UK set up CWC. The Mellor is a very small watch by today’s fashion but it is a very legible lightweight watch. 

There are differences between the Hamilton and the CWC where I think the Hamilton has higher water resistance, sapphire crystal and a screw down crown. I could be wrong on this.

The Mellor is £499, manual wind, pull out crown, fixed bars, 50m water resistant and has an acrylic crystal. No leather strap, just a nato strap and arrives in a basic cardboard box/foam packaging, with 3 year’s warranty.

Very good price and lovely watch. One of my favourites.

They took my order then called to say it mysteriously had to be cancelled as it "failed quality checks" clearly realised it was a pricing error, not impressed...
