Been considering this watch for a while but told myself not to buy until it was under £400. Colour might not be everyone's cup of tea (you wait til hell freezes over to get the black model at this price) but at a 54% discount over RRP it's pretty good value in my eyes.

    I've had one of these in Black for several years now and can't fault it, it's worth every penny at this price. Even at 42mm it looks a lot smaller than my 44mm Alpina Seastrong.

    A Classic American brand from 1892 with loads of history, that’s now manufactured by the Swiss with Swiss movements. Amazing for the money. (edited)

    Was hovering over this for ages but the positive comments here have convinced me.
    Ordered, cheers OP (and esteemed watch fanatics….)

    The date-only auto khaki auto(with the simpler black dial layout) is maybe a better all-rounder (has 100m WR.)
    But the lug-to-lug is 52mm I think. Apparently this one is a couple of mm shorter and has 20mm lug width (vs 22.) (edited)
