Is this supposed to be like the karcher window vac?

Original Poster

I believe so, but it's cheaper, you get the accessories and a 3 year warranty.

What happened to a bucket, sponge, squeegee & a cloth?

£30 for an own brand window vac, karcher ones can be picked up for not much more than this when on offer. Another Aldi rip off

Karcher WV60 is currently £45 at Tesco with the same accessories...
I love my Karcher. I hoover my windows every morning.:)

Karcher, just an unreliable german brand that has a repututation for quality that no longer applies to their plasticky failure prone products especially the jet washers.

The WV60 is no longer that price at Tesco

hooray henry

I have a Karcher window vac which is not very old and has performed beautifully. However, I have got to agree with your comments about the jet washers. Unbelievably bad and mine was circa £300 so not exactly cheap.

Ive had my Karcher jet washer for 2 years it cost me £50 on offer from Homebase and its faultless. Cleaning cars and bikes most weekends! Maybe ive been lucky but i think its brilliant.

I personally love my Karcher. I use it daily for condensation on the windows. Saves so much time. Far better than using a cloth and wringing it out. Try moving into the 21st century, it can be fun! X)

Can these handle lots of condensation, like where streams of water drip down the windows?

The Marcher one can as my parents use it for that purpose

Or you could just buy 70% ISOPROPYL RUBBING ALCOHOLand some cheap micro-fleece wipes more effective and cheaper!

Yes, that's what I use mine for.
It's very satisfying to 'hoover up the condensation without having to get your hands wet.
I love mine!!

which version of windows does this handheld has

Do you have a link to this Karcher one that is " not much more "?

Does it have a 3 year warranty ?

The Karcher I 50% more expensive so if you are on a budget the aldi one is the way to go.

Are spare blades and cloths available? If not, will this thing will be redundant after you have a damaged blade/dirty cloth?
Edited by: "mr.vibez" 15th Jan 2015

I I bought one and it's rubbish! The water collector keeps falling off and the blade leaves streaks. It's off back to the shop tomorrow

I couldn't get a streak free finish and I followed the instructions. Nowhere near as good as I had hoped for, I will be returning mine and I will try the Karcher. Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained I suppose.

How is everyone else getting on with theirs?

Totally agree xx

I went and bought a karcher after my experience with this one and the karcher is actually useable. On the plus side, I had no problems getting my money back at Aldi.

Glad it's not just me, thanks for the feedback.
