good idea, with phone upgrades I'm sure there are lots of redundant phones so one in every corner of the room in every room of the house the burglar's soul will be destroyed b4 the cops get there...

I'm sure I'm not exaggerating am I....

Just set it up....... Neat

ooh, i wonder how many people will now be able to see me shave my bum cheaks!

You sell it on "Antiques Roadshow" and use the money to buy a CCTV system

Magic! Thanks, holly100

Paint it and label it "CCTV in operation" and drill a small hole and put a red LED in it. If this method didn't work, study A Level physics and maths, then apply on a course at uni to do electrical and electronics engineering. Then conversion of 3310 to any smart device is easy peasey.

My early morning giggle sorted. Much appreciated!

This is quite a good app, although is prone to freezing at times :(. Used to use it a lot and had a tab set up for it so we could quickly change to it. Watching the recordings though always broke it :(. But I'd use it again anyway as very useful for time limited CCTVness - ie when your neighbour is being a right plonk to put it politely :p.

At least with the 3310 you only need to charge it once a week

Hey, cheaky!

Fab, will give it a go

helpful thanks

grab a copy of SECuRET SpyCam in the Play Store for under $5.
Much better software with a LOAD of features.

maybe i'm missing something, but surely you could only position the old phone your using as a cctv camera next to socket to leave it plugged in, otherwise the battery would be dead and phone off in less than 24 hours??

Trackview on playstore just as good

before long every socket will be watching you

You're obviously more likely to be burgled at night. Since phone cameras have an infrared filter build in, infrared lights which real CCTV use for night vision, won't work. Real security cameras also have a much lower lux level than a phone camera.

This is nothing more than promoting apps that have been around for years, with very little practical use.

Use "Manything" app, very good... but I have an IPCam anyway so just stick to that.
