Terrible tyres. Barely better than the 'no brand' ditch-a-ling ones.

Fitting still may cost than bundled deal from likes of KF etc.

disagree, good tyre, equally as good as the Goodyear excellence that were on my car previously

I've had these tyre before and they are really good value tyres, would fit these time and time again.
These are great mid range tyres, definitely recommend them.
Hankook are good tyres!

Hankook are just a brand. It doesn't mean that everything they produce is good. It's like saying everything Asda made are good, or everything Kia make are good. It just doesn't hold true.

The Ventus Prime is particularly poor in the wet - and that's where you really want a tyre to perform since grip is much less, braking distances are much longer, and the chances of an accident are much higher.

This comes almost bottom of the group in terms of wet weather grip (particularly in terms of its tendency to aquaplane), alongside the Nangkings and the other ditch-a-lings:

Unless I'm driving in a country where it never rains ie not the UK, this wouldn't be a tyre that I would buy.

Yeah, for this sort of snow/wet weather you definitely want winter or all-season tyres.

Another test of all season tyres here:

Better reviews + lower price and we have better tyre, specially with so many negative comments about Goodyears regarding weak sidewalls, so not pathetic really...

You must be joking. Hankook Ventus are one of the best all-round tyre I've ever experienced on a road-car. Excellent dry grip, amazing wet grip, and very nice handling too. I'd rate Michelin Pilot above these and Continental Sport, but they'd definitely be in my top 5 high performance tyre
Not sure what type of Hankook are on my A4 estate but they are shocking compared to the Michelin Primacy that came on the last Audi A4 I had
I have these - great tyres. Last an absolute age and very good in wet & dry. Best tyres I have had. Came recommended by two independent garages who had no financial interest
When people make a point of saying that another person's deal is inferior to their own I always vote cold on the poster's deal, and on all their prior deals too.
There's enough douchiness in the world already.

...so you contribute to said douchiness by being quite spectacularly petty.

Some deals are in fact better than others and can be called out as such. You are of course fine to disagree with their opinion, but negging all of their deals out of hand shows what a small man you are.

Looks like you know better than me, sad really... I meant Goodyear Efficient Performance is rather poor tyre but voted hot every time posted here for some reason( few other posts recently). There is number of better tyres for same price or less than mentioned above Goodyear...
Goodyear makes some excellent tyres like Eagle F1 and not so good like Efficient Performance... thats all

They're still better than Hankooks which are a death trap in the wet. The Hankooks are also very poor in terms of fuel performance.

The Hankooks are a very poor buy for UK weather conditions.

Just note had a few tyre deals of Amazon. Tho not sure if it's because it's a premium tyres or fact they are summer tyres but never seem to last very long..

Last time I just got some cheapy ones from a local business and they are on a year now in June and tbh they are still like new.

Better google for weak sidewalls in Goodyear Efficient Performance... If you want good tyre for wet conditions buy Uniroyals Rainsport.
One thing I don't get, isn't a higher rolling resistance a good thing, as in that's how grippy it is? I know they're all into improved mileage but in my mind that equates to lower grip/less friction/higher MPG.

I don't claim to be an expert on tyres but the only bad experience I've had recently were having 2 Goodyear effientgrips which in my own exeperience, were probably the worst tyres I've even bought when factoring in cost/performance/reliablity. However when mentioning this on those deals, I get told it must be me and not the tyres (which I dispute totally)

Certainly from my experience they have the weakest sidewalls on any tyre I'd bought in the last 30 years. Wobbly handling, lacklustre grip in dry or wet and poor wear. These were on an Astra estate (correctly sized, pressure and wheel balanced etc) maybe they're just not good on larger cars?

You haven't got a clue what you are talking about, keep on reading carp from autoexpress but keep your nonsense to yourself and don't try to mislead others.

In the objective comparative tests including aquaplaning and wet braking distances (which is clearly measurable) these Hankooks come bottom of the pile. Anyone who thinks different is just in denial.

And what?

No one particular tyre can score 100% on every aspect for every conceivable and real life driving condition.

Autoexpress tests are done under what conditions? Were you there? It is very easy for them to produce results in order to get more readers for their publication.

Don't be a sheep.

They're garbage in the wet. Look at the aquaplaning tests - they're a complete failure.

No point posting links from XR2i owners. They're about as objective as you and your USB 2.0 sticks.
