This looks like excellent value for the resolution and size it offers. HDMI, IPS and hardened glass to top it off. Just don't put it right next to a window.

*Edit* Looks like it only comes with a VGA cable and as far as I'm aware, you need a device and cable that supports dual link DVI in order to run at this resolution. I think HDMI on most devices is still limited to a max of 1920 x 1200 at 60hz.

Easy way to check is how many pin holes your DVI connection has. Just google it to see what it should look like. Or if you have displayport, that will support it with the correct adapter.

The response time really 7ms?? If it is I would expect really bad … The response time really 7ms?? If it is I would expect really bad ghosting whilst gaming

That's typical for an IPS display. Only TN panels have lower response times, and they're largely crap. This will be fine for gaming.

looks good, anyone got one of these?
that's a good price for that resolution, some reviews would have been nice.. price point for these is about £250-£300
I removed all the German contacts from my phone and now it's Hans free, not so sure about Hanns G though.

shame there are no reasonably priced (around £250) WQHD 32" Screens

Heat added , good tech specs and like features.

Agree, found an article highlighting it's announcement (article dated 23/07/15) but I think release was later. Going by facebook hits for model number, got released late Aug approx.

Perhaps we'll see some promo's on it soon? (guessing this is release price, as some euro e-stores have it same price.)

Fantastic price for a 27" 2560x1440p IPS monitor. Cheapest I've ever seen for one!

You really feel the difference of 7ms vs 2ms? My recent Gears Of War 3 escapades have been so bad I killed someone then I'd say at least 0.3sec later I was killed and I was wondering who killed me from where. Then I checked out the screen text and I'd been shot by the player I'd just killed. That happens but not 0.3 secs or longer. Plant a grenade and then wait sometimes half a second before it plants. Crazy times lately.
Looks great for the price
Adding to my watch list. Would rather wait to see some reviews.
Amazing price, so tempted!
Great price but not a gaming monitor.

I'd get it for gaming. I've had ips, tn, va, 120hz. The difference between all the response times is tiny.
Make sure there's nothing illuminated around you. you'll see it all in the screen. can't understand why people like glossy screens, just a glared mirror..

Or get the Acer s277hk - 4k goodness
use bespoke got this for £189 + extra up to 15% off that. good find!
Great deal! But I don't understand the big craze about IPS, VA in my opinion is far superior as contrast is way better. Having blacks that are actually black greatly enhances the immersion of a game or movie e.g. I know they are quite slow but I hope manufactures start to use VA panels in their monitors. That's why I'm still using my trusty Samsung LE32C530 TV as a monitor.

For about £260 you can get an AOC 28" 4k - I'm pleased I went for that.

(Of course 4k isn't for everyone etc.)
Im stuck with a BenQ 24 inch 144mhz screen which is fantastic but I love playing 3D so im always stuck on these. Mines 1080p but the only thing I can see are over £500. I need 144mhz and would love a 27 inch with high response and better resolution

IPS panels are better for photo editing and other colour-critical work as they don't suffer from the left/right gamma shift issues that affect *VA screens when viewed from different angles (with a large widescreen monitor viewed up close this is pretty much unavoidable).

For multimedia use though, yes, the better contrast ratio of *VA is a worthwhile payoff.

Yeah I understand IPS are optimal for the scenarios you stated, but the majority don't do such tasks. I could never go from VA- SVA in my case- to an IPS or worse a TN panel because blacks are grey at best, this is most apparent in a dark room. I guess it's just because I'm used to deep blacks, with a Plasma TV as my main TV in the house.

Apologies to all, I've deleted my post. Probably best that the two comments quoting my mistake are also edited/deleted.

Have owned my first ever flatscreen monitor, a HannsG HW191D 19" widescreen, for 9 years & it's still going strong without a single dead pixel
Still got my ShiMan, going strong
Got my Hannspree Xm-S 19" in 2008 and it's still working great. This could be a good upgrade though. Does the 7ms have any significance if you are not a hardcore gaming player? I pretty much only play FIFA online.

for double the price?
Can i play my normal games console on this xbox one please?
I have a Dell 27-inch 2560x1440 monitor and a 32-inch Asus 4K display.

I use the Dell as my daily driver - Windows scaling is rough at 4K, and not even a 980 Ti can power a 4K monitor effectively for gaming. I just think 4K is a bit of a blind alley to be honest. If and when I upgrade, it'll be to an ultra-wide 3440x1440 display.

It depends what you play. I have a 4K screen and all I'm running is an Intel Pentium and an AMD 290. I can run my favourite games like Fallout and Skyrim on max no problem. Other more modern games I enjoy lie BF4 is mostly high settings with some reduced down to medium. I personally find that the resolution outweighs not all settings being on max.

Yes it will work no problem. The xbox does not support this resolution though so if thats the only reason your getting it, go for a cheaper 1080p 27" screen instead. Otherwise this will be ideal.

If Fifa is mainly the time of game you play, the response time on this will not be an issue. If you said you play games like Counter Strike at a competitive level, then I'd go for something different.
