Doesn't look widescreen to me, but still a good price for a monitor

Pay a bit more and get a decent one..

Size: 420 x 424mm - so not widescrreen

but personally I find non-widescreen monitors better for PC use.

Do not buy a telly from this store . . . they are the worst place I have ever ordered from... they cancelled my order for a television without my knowledge after telling me for a week it was out of stock even though they took 200 out my bank...... 8 phone calls its took to get to the bottom of it that they where not honouring my order... 2 calls to my bank and one to a security company

Nice deal.
Bigjmill - stop spamming every CDiscount thread with your giant font. We get the point that you suffered poor customer service. It happens to every firm once in a while and doesnt mean that they are hell bent on word destruction or simply set out to annoy all their customers. Personally I have had several great deals from CDiscount and had one return which was no problem at all, granted the refund took longer than I would normally expect but it turned up within the time scale they stated with no problems.

I have a HannsG 19" non-widescreen monitor and its an excellent bit of kit. I've had it for a couple of years now and its been 100% spot on with no faults and no bad pixels.

Good pictue and I prefer it to a widescreen.

seems CDiscount are only doing this on products they are making loads of money on... so this one is excluded.

Good price. I*got one a bit cheaper with cashback at scan, but I would prefer this offer. The monitor is actually pretty good, certainly bright and colourful - although the sound is rather basic, and the sharping algorithm is a bit odd. Having the 5:4 ratio is actually an advantage, because you get more screenspace than with the same diagonal at 16:9 (comparable to a 20"*widescreen).

Perhaps not word destruction... but dyslexic people? That's a different matter.

I bought a TV from them last sunday, received on friday in perfect condition and a great price. Just because you didn't have much look doesn't mean they are a bad store as my experience says otherwise! Heat added for cheap price.

Just taken delivery of one of these monitors from CDiscount to replace an ageing Sony 17" Trinitron CRT monitor. I didn't want a widescreen monitor because a large widescreen monitor would have ended up taking up too much space on my desk, and I have no interest in using my PC to watch full screen videos.

Ordered Thursday midday, arrived Saturday morning by Home Delivery Network even though I did not specify Saturday delivery. Item was brand new boxed but I noticed the label on the back of the monitor quotes it was perhaps manufactured in August 2008. ie. over a year ago. This may perhaps explain why CDiscount are able to offer this monitor at such a knock down price.

Very impressed with the build quality. Sturdy plastics and a rigid stand. Looks and feels better than Acer 18.5" widescreens on display I've seen in PCworld. It looks better than the pictures for this monitor might suggest.

Thankfully, no dead or stuck pixels, as I understand HannsG's dead pixel policy is very poor. Nice bright display.

HannG offer a 3 year exchange warranty according to the paperwork.

The monitor has both VGA and DVI inputs. Supplied only with a VGA cable.

I have it connected to my Core2Duo XP desktop PC running in 1280 x 1024 resolution, with XP configured to use 120 DPI setting seems to work well. In Internet Explorer 8, I do have to set the Zoom mode to 125% for the webpages to fill the width of the screen.
