Widescreen is purely down to preference.... most home users would not feel comfortable with one. Also it does not have DVI.

I've been buying in HannsG monitors for quite some time and they are brilliant.

No need to vote cold before checking out the details.

I checked out the details - then voted cold.

Other sites seem slightly cheaper too - although admittedly the free shipping ebuyer thing is a winner.

Not sure I agree that widescreen is individual preference either really..... obviously some like it and some don't, but i dont think its like that for many.

A lot of people prefer 4:3 if they don't intend to use the screen for films or gaming!

they do?

I use my computer for word, programming with visual studio, gaming, films, large excel spreadsheets.#

im not being deliberately harsh... i would just assume everyone would go for widescreen if they weren't generally more expensive.

Yup
The last couple of people i've helped build computers have requested 4:3 monitors when given the option.

ah well.... learn something new and all that....

well if people want a widescreen 19inch for a quid cheaper, lookie here:

Yes but HannsG is a good brand, with "extra value" you could be getting anything.

Would you vote down a Ferrari because a Ford is £1 cheaper?

HannsG isn't a 'good brand' they just make, so far, cheap stuff that performs well.

I'd put them on a par with the ebuyer extra value stuff - admittedly there is some ****, but also some things are actuall well known brands with stickers put over the logos! (sd cards for example)
