Only 60hz so not for me. Im on the lookout for 144 at decent money. Good price though
Bought this the other day and really pleased with the improvement over my old 24” 1080p monitor. I did consider the Aoc for a few quid more but figured the dpi at that size would be close to the 1080p one I had.
If these models have the kettle lead power lead beware, the socket they go in is slightly lose. Mine came part way out and blew capacitors, not economically fixable...
Can't see what the sRGB colour space % is in either listing, or by Googling

Looks good - similarly you could get an AOC 31.5 inch Monitor for £199.99

True but you have to take into account this is an IPS panel the AOC one is not. Not to say that the AOC is a bad monitor or a bad price for a 32 inch monitor but it is not a like for like compare. You are trading off a bigger monitor for the quality of the display slightly.

Capacitors are usually about 5p each? Not that everyone will have soldering skills
good price for 1440p, but what does 2k mean?

Just as PC's have become nicely standardized the press departments go off and start making up fancy new numbers to confuse people with.
Was 1080p correct to start? To me im sure us PC users thought its 1920. the 1080 bit depends on your aspect ratio.
But the non-PC items started using 1080p with the term HD, HD so 720p (1280 to us) couldo get slipped in without people noticing - im sure we all got caught out by that one at some point it was done so snidely.

Then we shifted to 4k. What 4k vertical. OMG, wow! Oh, no its horizontal this time. Ok, its 4x 1920x1080 but who cares how many times it is. Its 2k by the previous standerd, or 4096/4k to PC users.
So, WTF is 2k? the resolution cant be rounded horizontal or vertical to 2k.

anyway, heat added.

It's a stupid name that is an attempt to describe 1440p as a halfway house between 4k and 1080p, even though 1080p isn't called 1k. Like it's not fairly obvious that 1440 is in-between 1080 and 2160.

To be honest I don't like how the PC monitor aspect ratio has been driven by the film industry. I much prefer 16:10 to 16:9, and would probably prefer 4:3 if they still made them, at least for work.

Anyone know the max refresh rate for sure?

Sick of websites listing technical specs wrong.... Can anyone confirm this is IPS? Says IPS in title but TFT in specs .

They're usually more than that, then they want postage....
I could do it, I've fixed washing machines and others like this but looking at the PCBs there's loads blown. It's finding all the right codes, getting them posted, then soldering all day... Only to find others have blown as well...
I've still got it in case I get time for a project.

Yep, it's IPS TFT as opposed to TN TFT
What's really annoying is no figure anywhere for sRGB coverage, and no mention of if screen is matt/semi-gloss/gloss. Not even on manufacturer's website.

Cheers!
Computer shopper gave the aoc 31.5" 5 stars which is rare. It's 75hz amd freesync compatable, really vibrant apparently. The only down side is 250cd brightness. No idea in comparison as the op didn't include this essential info. 300cd is recommended at this size. 250cd is bad in direct sunlight.

1k = 720p
2k = 1440p
4k = 2880p

'k' just means HD (not Full HD) I guess. So multiples of 720. Interestingly it's also called QHD, which defines HD as 360p. Which makes 4k Octuple HD? Very easy to follow.

Personally I prefer using the height instead of width, the width doesn't tell you anything about the aspect ratio: 1920 could mean 1920x1080 or 1920x1200, but 1080p makes it clear. The p is supposed to just mean progressive scan, but these days it also tends to mean 16:9.

Heat for the deal, it's a pretty good panel, provided you aren't in an image editing career. I have a slightly better BenQ 27" 1440p monitor that was £180 when Amazon Warehouse had everything 20% off.

I'd give a strong recommendation for the AOC, utter bargain for the price, never seen any other monitors on here offer even close to the VFM. With Freesync and 75HZ it's decent for gaming too and a fantastic all round panel that it just extremely pleasant to use thanks to a sensible (not astronomical) resolution paired with a generously sized panel so none of that scaling nonsense 4K practically forces you to use...

I would think so looking at his emoji at the end
Just heard back from Hannspree UK. Apparently the sRGB colour space coverage is 109%. Presume this means it exceeds sRGB gamut, and goes further towards Adobe RGB coverage. Oh, and the screen is matte.

Though that would be something they'd want to advertise in the specs....

"k" means thousand. QHD doesn't define HD as 360p. HD is 720p - you can fit four 720p screens into a QHD screen...Quad HD.
got one of these from amazon warehouse for £136 hope its good.
