MY FIRST POST! bought this tv set a week ago for £299.95, but price has gone up a little since.
mine delivered in 3 days. was at first a little concerned as id never heard of teleland but is all legit!
the tv set so far is great. works gud with xbox360!
2 HDMI sockets!
2 scart sockets.
PC input
720p etc....
and the 5 years warranty gives u some peace of mind!
for example: 2 yrs m/f warranty + 3 years teleland warrany!

hello 'shanecr'
yes i bought it last week all is fine with them!
i also hope the extra 3 yrs warranty ontop is legit. but think it is!
i registered all my warranties matey!

Spam?! Sorry if it's not!

As featured already this is available from Misco.co.uk for £279.99 plus delivery. I phoned them and they are only offering a 2 year back to base warranty. The Teleland deal, if the 5 year warranty stands up still seems the better deal.
How was delivery from Teleland etc?
The spec on their site states that it is capable of 1080i, is this the case. Does this model have Pictue in Picture?
Finally, what is the standard definition like on this?

Cheers :-D

This newer model is cheaper and better equipped - 2 X HDMI

hi 'stu38' the 5 years warranty is based on anything over what the m/f warranty is. so hannspree m/f warranty = 2 years. there for teleland gives u 3 additional years warranty on top! although after the 2 years u have to pay the carriage charges if u need to send it to them!

the delivery was fine with teleland. placed order on a weds night. got deliver 10 am monday morning. delivered by Citylink.
you'll have to look on the website for more spec or hannspree's main site.

oh and the standard def is 720p, although it supports up 1080p.
this far it looks gud but only had it a few days!
but the only thing i can see is that the dark images are a little blocky but not overly bad.

i think you mean 1080i not 1080p

Definately 1080i (but you'll want to stick to 720p anyway), when I tried setting my HDMI DVD to 1080p output as an experiment, the set went completely black with an 'out of range' message. I then had to disconnect the dvd player and hook it up to a CRT so I could change it back.
According to the manual it states if you try setting it to the wrong resolution whilst being used as a PC monitor, you can physically damage the set - so I think I'll stop experimenting now

luckily im not planing on hooking it up to a pc!
maybe thats why other reviews talk about the picture going a little funny, cos they experiment b4 reading the manual lol!

the blacks on mine is still quite black but i think i can see what peeps r on about it turning more charcoal grey. but so far its holding blacks fine.

not charcoal grey i ment 'charcoal black' lol. tuff day me little boy kept me up most of the nite!
