allot of tv for the money

Not a bad price, but

With state-of-the-art HD credentials

It's 720p
I have been rather disappointed with Hannspree recently. And older monitor is great, but everything recent seems to have taken a dive in quality. Proceed with caution.

Definitely a lot of TV for the money with 2 Yr warranty.

Had a Hanspree Netbook and was very impressed with it.

It still worked, after my mate knocked a full glass of G&T over it and then decided to put it in the toaster to "dry it out"!

Unfortunately Hanspree told me it would cost £90 just to look at the melted keyboard!
Problem is M&S were doing a Sony Full HD Smart TV with 5Yr warranty about 6 weeks ago for £280 - which really was a HOT deal.

Still, good price for what you get
£208.39 ebuyer seems this tv is being discounted by a lot of outlets after doing a google

This made me spray coffee on my ipad. Lol. Nice one.

2 year guarantee is more than most companies offer as standard so I doubt very much that the failure rate is any more than "up market" models. Check out the number of those sold on Amazon etc. as refurbs.

However if a TV fails that quickly, I don't think you'd have any difficulty in claiming it was unfit for purpose and getting it fixed/replaced under the sale of goods act.

So how long is the warranty on a Samsung/Sony/Panasonic etc.?
I think Sony and Pana are 2yrs and Samsung 1yr

You'll need to check by model to be on the safe side.

Hannspree have been around for years also part of the HannStar Display Corporation, the started with computer monitors, a few Samsung laptops I've recently had Hannstar LCD screens in them.

I've got a 32" Full HD Hannspree that I play Xbox360 and PS3 on no problems at all.
seems a good deal, have some heat.
Is this actually worth the money or is this about the asking price for TV of this quality? Tempted.
anyone got one home yet ?

The warranty a company offer as standard at start up shouldn't be seen as the benchmark of durablity. Most faults on electrical items will occur in the first few months of purchase, or, ideally some years later at the end of it's natural life. Most reputable manufacturers will directly, or indirectly sell 5 years warranty as this typically is the likely problem free period for most products. Kia saw this and pushed their warranty to 7 years to prove their faith in their product.

In summary, 2 years is a nice 1 year freebee on the standard, but it doesn't mean the product is a good'un!
