soz I stand corrected it does say hardwood on the box bought one myself but stand by my comments on quality though,look like softwood hastily brushed with watered down stain of some sort loks like a child had done it but hey worth a tenner.p.s. still think it`s softwood.

Ha ha ha. I just got 2 of these seats this morning. My neighbour asked where I got them so I fibbed a little because he's a bit like you and would have said something rude. So I said my mate at work got them for me. He then put me on the spot and asked how much they were, so I said 50 quid for both. 'Nice, we could do with a garden seat, do you think your mate could get another?
‌ I said actually we don't really need both as we have enough seats anyway.
I got 25 quid! Ha ha ha. He thought he had an half price bargain!
