Looks very a-peeling

a a a haX)
Just saw them in Tesco Ashby for less than £80 but I can't remember how much.
I have always wanted a pair but the wife doesn't like them.
style over substance - HK used to be a decent quality brand name. then they cheapened it so now its tat. they look nice but dont be fooled
I don't fully agree with royals comment. I got a pair of these last time they were under £80 and for a cheap pair of style over substance speakers, they do a great job in my small study. Much better than some well rated bookshelf speakers for about the same price.

Granted they are not going to compare well with proper hi-fi gear but for £80 they are a good buy.
Paid a lot more for these a year or two ago, I think the sound they produce is fantastic and they look cool.
These are excellent for the money...I had them when HMV had them on sale at £99, a year ago. I use them on my imac in my study but they are fantastic with an iPod, or MP3 player plugged into them.. My son wants these for the tv in his room now for his Xbox. Xmas preside sorted thanks OP...
they look cool but the sound quality is pants and their cheaply made.

you sir are an idiot
Just adding a bit of balance here. I've got a set and love them. The sound is great for the money but they have a low quality transformer and some other poor quality components inside. HK themselves admit they have a high level of returns when I spoke to them about a hum from the transformer. At £150 I'd say they are not cheap but at less than half that price they are well worth the money. Don't miss a bargain because of some of the comments above.

Tesco Dragonville had a set on special under the escalator just Friday. £79 i think
not a fan think they look silly
Same price here but you get a free JBL car thingy which sells for about £50! Can't go wrong - 2 pressies in one!

Love it when someone quotes 'fact' without any further qualification. There are lots of negative reviews around from audio 'experts'.

They've been around £89 for months now.

Having said all that I've sold my soul and ordered a set a few days ago from the evil Tesco with their £10 off code.

Fact. HA!
These are good but a little overrated. Subwoofer is downward firing and isn't the best for movies. This is more for music.
These just have a 3.5mm jack? As in I can plug into my telly via that? Wasn't sure if that's what they meant by 'Compatible with all devices with a stereo mini jack output'?
I have these at work and I'll admit for the price you pay the sound quality isn't worth it. there are better 2.1 systems out there for the same or less price

AFAIK Yes, but I haven't received it yet to be 100% sure. I want them to make my desk look weird. You can get better for your TV, maybe a soundbar.

Such as?

(Genuine question by the way)
The speakers are quiet good. But the deal being described this hot is quiet misleading.. considering it is just a £10 drop.
