Great find. I know they won design awards but I just find them ugly! Voted hot for price
Nice one, I just bought the Aura Plus Wireless for £160. If you don't like the look of them, that's cool, each to their own.

It's only because Jony Ive designed them
I used to have these and they were fine for the money. Since replaced with B&W.

Did you replace them with the mm-1? If so, is there a significant improvement in sq? I would presume so...

They would likely have cost £100's more so yes you would assume so.

From were ? £370 on amazon
Bought these a few years ago. Great looking design, great sound too..... Well that was until a few weeks ago, when they've developed a crackling sound in one of the speakers.

B&W don’t make them anymore; hence I questioned what s/he replaced them with, nonetheless thank you for your constructive feedback.

Yes I did. Big difference to my ears. I love my MM-1s, got some good quality second hand ones. Also prefer size & formfactor with much less cabling. The HK were fine though.

Yes that’s right they don’t. Not really an alternative to these as they are hard to get hold of.

Thanks for the reply chap, I’ve heard very good reviews about them, but I’ve never heard them, how do they handle the lower frequencies? They’re obviously not going to have the grunt of a sub, but are they able to handle the lower end?

Not too bad at all. Certainly good enough that I never miss any lower bass from the HKs. I suppose that if you were using them as a kind of cinema speaker setup you might want the separate sub but I use them for general computer use, music mostly (for which they are amazing) and youtube videos etc. I do watch TV/films with them as well though and find them great for this too. It is surprising how good the sound is given their size.

I quite like the sound of B&W stuff though so might be slightly biased, I already have a Zeppelin and some P5s although did forgo the PX's recently in favour of some Bose QC35 ii instead.

Ahh good to hear, it would be for music only to be honest. There’s a definite market for decent computer speakers, I’ve also looked at the Bose Companion 50, although not the biggest fan of their sound signature. Funnily enough I went for the PX and I’ve really fallen for B&W sound, I’ve currently got Monitor Audio for the home cinema, and when the time comes to change them, I’ll most likely go with B&W then too
Can't work out if I like or not
Mine arrived today. Excellent sound
