I bought on of these last week from Logitech for £24.99 using the £5 code (when they listed them for £29.99) and thought that was a bargain, this is even better, especially considering the one I had delivered was in perfect condition not even a microscopic blemish.

what's the difference between logitech 300 and 600?

Specs are given here - in for one

300 - Basic model, no screen, can control 4 devices
600 - Next model up, has a screen (allows you to add key stroke sequences, and extra customised buttons), can control 5 devices.

300 silly!

Great price, just ordered as a backup remote.

Is this better than my old 525 or not?

Having owned a 525 and bought a 600 recently I would say no the 525 is a slightly better model.

Good remote for an excellent price.

I dont need it but im thinking of an excuse to buy it. Heat addded

Bought one for the girlfriend's parents! Been looking for the 650 again (same as mine) but decided, based on the price, to get this one instead. Cheers OP!

Ordered one - thanks OP.

The only thing nicer about these models are the buttons and ergonomics, everything else within the range with Logitech sadly seems to have taken a step backwards, or should I say you get less bang for buck...memory support for fewer devices and a base model without a programmable key assign screen makes it nearly as monolithic as some of the One For All remotes.

Bear in mind that functionality is exactly the same with this, it adds nothing new than your 525 did. In fact it has the "ability" to control 10 less devices!

So unless you don't need to control more than 5 devices and providing your 525 is battered up and on its last legs (doubtful, one of my Harmony remotes its big brother the 555 is built similarly and that still looks nearly new) then this would be an ok replacement, otherwise why bother!

Aw man, I almost made it through the month without buying any toys! Curse this website ;-)

Post it as a deal if you ever come across a cheap Logitech PS3 extender.

Just switch on "hdmi control " on the ps3 and change a few settings on Ur hd telly and bobs your sister

You can control you ps3 via tv remote.

All the numbers where rubbing off on my 525, i emailed logitec to see if they had replacement keypads and they offered to replace my remote instead. They don't make the 525 any more so got a 600 instead.

I've also had both, and thought the 525 was great. I only replaced it because a couple of the buttons stopped working (just wear and tear). In my experience, the 600 is aweful by comparison; the signal is very weak and often fails to turns stuff on\off.

It's also constantly asking to be reset as it's not in sync. I think the problem is that the buttons are easily pressed (when it slips down the side of the couch for instance), which was rarely a problem with the 525, which had firmer buttons.

I'm waiting for the harmony one to drop to down to an even better price than £90 and jumping there.

code does work longest checkout in history though

How do you use it for XBMC, will it work on a PC based media server?

Top remote at a bargain price,i have the 650 in the so called blemished box sale, box was immaculate nothing wrong with it.

I've tried BLACKFRIDAY5 and BLACKFRIDAY10 and even had the 5% discount applied after waiting with items in the cart - price still shows at £24.99. Gone through checkout to the verify order page - still £24.99. Tried both Chrome and IE!

LOGIBLACKFRIDAY5 works. Doh!

If your PC has IR yes, if not add a USB IR receiver and add into Harmony setup as a Windows Media centre remote.

does this remote works on sky hd box?

Yes of course...wouldn't be a very popular device if it didn't.

I believe the 600 can do more than 5 devices if it replaces a 525 but then can't be edited/added to. Never looked into it too much but going to give it a go now I've ordered this.

I have the 525 and I cant fault it (other than maybe its loud buttons). I noticed the newer models control less devices so this will have to be used for the bedroom.

I cant select the UK as a country?
