I got a harmony hub it's been great, all different experiences!

I have harmony hub, software is terrible. I also have broadlink...software much better, and can be controlled by echo via app. The HH was many times the price of the 15 quid I paid for the broadlink.I especially dislike having to ask alexa to tell harmony...it's easier to find the remote.

Purchased it for use with Alexa. It barely ever works as intended and there are better free software apps that can do almost the same job. Shame, because it has the potential.....maybe it will improve with software updates??

Each time I see a Logitech remote come up I have to chime in to say how truly horrible the software is. A sample of its sins:

* You have to login to logitech to update your remote (logs you out on a timer which seems to be less than 30 mins)
* Uploading your setting prior to updating (can't see an undo so a useless waste of time)
* No sharing of uploaded setting data so if you buy the new Wizzo holographic TV you will have to do your own custom setting as the setting data for this device of people who have already added this will not be accessible by you.
* Does not track on/off status of devices so turning on my VM Tivo after watching my YouView box will turn off my TV and soundbar.

That's just some of the horrors and to top it off the PC software has a non-intuitive menu system.

I think the hubs are fantastic.

Today I got it to work with Echo and my Sealey fan and PC.

Yesterday I got it to control my AV amp and my Stereo amp with Echo.

I've had several of their remotes (over many years) and can't pretend I've never had an annoyance, but none of the same software problems as you. My devices were always in their list and I've been able to customise my activities to leave whichever device on or off, indeed it prompts that very question for each new activity.
