Sphereing is an extreme sport where people are rolled down steep hills inside 12' inflatable balls. You and your chosen victim are strapped facing each other in the harnesses inside the ball, before tearing off down a hill at speeds of up to 30mph. The general reaction is to laugh hysterically as you descend the hill, rolling and bouncing! And don't worry, with a safety harness, and 3-foot of air between you and the ground, you're entirely safe.

On arrival at the site you will be strapped into the Sphere for your ride. Hang on tight and expect to feel dizzy when you reach the bottom. You will both share the Sphere and will have one roll down the hill.

Did this last year, great fun. Want to do it again with the water inside next time :-D

o.k. if you say so. lol

what if you get motion sickness? :w00t:

i thought of this 25 years ago!!!! but i was 5 and didnt do anything about it!

For 39.95 I would expect the actual sphere, not just a shot in it! Ice cold!

looked at this before, but for one roll down a hill is still expensive in my opinion!

very expensive - with the vouchers that do the rounds its cheaper for 2 to spend a whole day at a theme park!

Good deal. I applied to do this with my 'Nectar' free treat last year. But they never contacted me with a date or replied to my letters asking about it!

Oh dear - I mis-read the price. It IS rather expensive isnt it.

Very expensive for just one go.
Cold from me

boo, I thought these were for sale that cheap, I GOT STUPIDLY EXITED!

did this in NZ for £10 (called zorbing) - great fun, but over in 20 seconds - £39.95? I think not

£59 originally? you're having a giraffe

(oh, and in NZ, there was no UK safe & healthy safety harness to make sure you didn't bump into each other - in NZ they pour in some warm soapy water and let you and your partner spin and tumble all they way down as if you're in a zanussi)

Beat me to it...was going to say it's officially called Zorbing. Been watching the prices for over a year now and they never budge so if you do want a go in the UK this is as cheap as you're going to get it.

Wish i wasn't eating my lunch when i read that

Gosh, I thought it was to buy one too!!! Silly me!!

"You and your chosen victim are strapped facing each other in the harnesses inside the ball"

So that when they throw up your face is in the firing line and then you are tumbled around in it like a washing machine as you roll down the hill, that could actually make a great gift to a few people I know!

Hmm, £39.95 delivered, does that mean they pick you up from home and take you to the location of your choice? If not I'm voting cold! :whistling:

Wouldn't it be cheaper to chase after a piece of cheese down a hill than this? Plus you would have some souvenirs, like cracked ribs, broken legs, arms, nose and not forgetting concussion!
