When I was on Lewis and Harris camping last year I went to watch them making Harris Tweed, and seen how much work goes into it. I then had a better understanding of why it's so expensive.

Then one of my friends from Lewis who's family used to make it, explained that they all attach motors to the looms now, and then remove them when the inspectors visit lol

It's nothing like it actually.

The difference being yours is full of absolute nonsense, and mine actually happened.

Eh. Not even close. You’re trying to be funny. But it’s entirely plausible... in fact, if you’re from the area (which I presume you’re not.) not at all abnormal. So... what’s your point?

I would be surprised if he has ever been camping. In fact, I would be surprised if his parents have ever let him out on his own yet.

Harris Tweed is sold in roles of material, that is sold all over the world. That is then made into the items you buy like bags etc. It's still Harris Tweed, it's still made in the outer Hebrides
Are you quoting my own post back to me?

"The cloth might be from Harris but the items will be manufactured in China or India."

How much better would it be if it the cloth and the manufacturing was all local?
