This looks like a great deal.

I bought a stripper at this price once.

Never again.

Splendid just what I needed...more excuses to do some DIY work

Are these any good? Novice to all this. Seems a better method than a bucket of water and sponge !

For £10 certainly better than bucket and sponge with less blisters too. When finished if you need to, it seems that you can resell it for the same or more.

these are really good and Harris is a top brand, and the plate is about A4 size, for a tenner it's a steal
Just don't leave it in one place for too long else you'll hear the plaster on the walls pop

Second this advice.

And if the plaster under the paper is really thin or just plain crap, it may well blow anyway.

Also, if stripping painted paper, it helps if you lightly score it first to allow the steam to penetrate better.

Good Deal, usually about £25.

Good price and does save time.

Why...weren't you satisfied?

Thanks, I lent mine to a friend who promptly broke it. Hoping the connectors are the sames as my old one so I can use the steam cleaner attachments I still have. If not, will return.

Can this be used to remove kitchen grease from the cooker hood? The hood got blocked and was lazy not to replace the paper, so now have to clean the grease sticking around on the wood or will it damage the wood.

Its showing as out of stock now when you go to the checkout

Harris top brand????
Don't make me laugh!

Steam's not a good idea on wood. Try white spirit to get the worst of it off then orange kitchen cleaner for the final wipe. Worked on mine anyway.

Ok thanks. Do you mean any alcohol based cleaner?

Out of stock.

All gone now.

Could have done with one of these

Did anyone actually receive a "Harris" wallpaper stripper? Mine was branded differently and said it was made in Britian.

I picked mine up yesterday and it was an Earlex, I have used Earlex strippers before and they're excellent so I'm not bothered.

I picked mind up yesterday and I was pleased to see it fitted the old tools I had from my previous one. It is indeed an Earlex (branded as Harris) which means my old one was and I never had any isssues with it (other than lending it to a friend who broke it).

£5 total bargain and now I have a fully functioning steam cleaner.
