Different deal.......the other one was for Sainsbury's Entertainment online

Heat, will pick up later instead of ordering online!

I thought this was a great price.

Was very tempted myself to be honest.

This site does genuinely baffle me. How can this get a negative heat when it is (I believe) the cheapest price offline. And even then, it is the same as the best price online but you can get it straight away.

I wonder why deals are put up here sometimes.

Just to make it clear i've not voted either way, but it is just a thought maybe people think there are far too many posts for the same thing on here. I know what you're saying and to a point i agree this is instore rather than online and know you're keen to post deal but wouldn't it be easier to just bite the bullet and ask it to be added it to the existing deal that was already posted because most people post deals and state online and instore (for instance a beer deal asda online and instore) ie you could then maybe take some credit too!

If I knew how to do that I would've done it. You may notice on the other deal, I actually mentioned it was instore as well before posting this one.

And furthermore, there may be a lot of posts for the same thing, but if it is the cheapest then isn't that helping people save money?!

Well then if you already mentioned it on the other deal that should be enough, if people look at that deal and read posts they will see it's available instore at the same price and if they can't wait for delivery and have a store nearby then can pick it up! Sorry, but then posting a deal for the sake of instore only as opposed to online seems a bit much to me. Just my view and we're all entitled to our opinion!

No I don't agree. This is a totally separate deal. If I saw a deal on Sainsburys Entertainment and went instore to ask for the deal (when they have the product at a higher price instore), they'd refuse as they are two separate entities. This deal was NOT available instore when the other deal was posted. This is a new deal and stands on its own as a deal.

True, if the price is different i would agree with you totally but if it's the same there is nothing wrong with putting online and instore in title! The OP admits to mentioning it on the other deal, letting people know it is available for the same price instore so that should suffice. Judging by the amount of heat or lack of it seems i'm not the only person sharing that opinion.
Oh see you added this deal was NOT available instore when the other deal was posted??? Interesting, how could you possibly you know that?

And you're fully entitled to your opinion but that's all it is, your opinion. This IS a separate deal. Sainsbury's Entertainment and Sainsbury's Supermarkets are two entirely different entities. They may ultimately be 'owned' by the same company but they are most definitely NOT one in the same. That is not opinion, that is fact.

And so is Tesco Entertainment and Tesco but if they have the same thing on offer at the same price think people would just say Tescos, fact! Or HMV online and HMV for that matter! As i said before if the OP already mentioned it within a deal just seems overkill posting this. No skin of my nose, but they were wondering why there was lack of heat and just letting them know my view as to why that might be.

Then the other deal should say Online and Instore and change it from Sainsburys Entertainment to Sainsburys

Well maybe you could've asked the other OP to simply do that, would've made a lot of sense.

By asking the question in a post?

I can't see that post you refer to from Blasphemous. The only I can see is him saying how good the other deal was.

What Tesco and HMV have to do with this deal I have no idea.

Yes we've dealt with that, it's your 'opinion'.

silva21

No skin of my nose,

Why bother mentioning it then?

silva21

they were wondering why there was lack of heat

The op stated:

It is the cheapest offline, so his/her point is a valid one.

silva21

and just letting them know my view as to why that might be.

Well that's not all you're doing is it? You're also stating that in your opinion this deal should be merged or perhaps removed and simply 'mentioned' in the Sainsbury's Entertainment deal. But as you state, we're all entitled to our 'opinions'.

Why not in post? or maybe PM them? Have changed titles of mine before after people advising me of things like instore, online, cheaper price elsewhere or through voucher etc. i'm fairly sure they would be happy to help, like you say the more people know about availability the better that is what this site is about!

No, was just saying rather than post this deal the OP could've asked for instore to be added to the original deal if felt strong enough about it. Going back to your earlier point, you say Sainsburys Entertainment not same as Sainsbury, well like i said neither is Tesco Entertainment the same as Tesco but if they're offering same thing at same price i'm sure you would think of them as similar online and instore!
Anyway, i've work to do...have a nice day

Edited by: "silva21" 2nd Dec 2011

And you STILL fail to see the irony in your statement.

Why have a daft debate about this??????
Deal's posted, no point in having a drama about it!
The OP was good enough to post the thing in the 1st place.
