Description
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Hope it helps someone.

Hellooo... Apple users that are listening to this (or any of the Audible Stories at the moment) may have found that the audio stops when your screen turns off. If you install and use Dolphin Mobile Browser from the App Store, it will keep the audio stream going when your phone is in standby. It means that you can stroll around with your government-allotted one walk a day, with your phone in your pocket, still listening to your story. Hope it helps someone. Stay healthy!

Hi, I'm I have an Samsung galaxy s10. I have the same problem, soon as the screen times out it turns off the audio. Do you know if this works for Android too?

I actually preferred the Jim Dale narration. The atrocious Americanisms are off putting especially in the first one though (cookies not biscuits and "bangs" for fringe - yuk) but Dale gave the characters more.....character. And the teacher with the Scottish name - Minerva McGonagall - was Scottish with Jim Dale. Not with Stephen Fry !

Is it possible to add this my library so that I can listen on Sonos?

I have an android, too. Running Android (10).

The audio keeps playing, even when the screen is off.
Could it be a Samsung issue, have you tried googling it?
Cheers

Agreed! The UK version just sounds like Stephen Fry reading a book... Jim Dale is THE undisputed king of voices and character actor! Absolute legend. You just have to get past him saying 'pants' instead of trousers.....

P.S. were you able to get Jim Dale's version from Audible US? I really want to buy them but they aren't available on our UK one!

No, off a mate of mine. And the irritating Americanisms were just so ridiculous and spoilt the story a fair bit. Its NOT America. Later books weren't as badly riddled with them than the first Which they renamed "Sorcerors Stone" because they believed Americans wouldn't understand "Philosopher's" (figures....)
First time I have used such a product brilliant just a tad expensive to buy
