was going to say the same thing and in blu-ray

Cold for me, saw a market stall selling Harry Potter stuff, selling the 7 hardback books at £20 for the set.

Awesome, that's helpful.... sigh.

Now showing as £43.19 - still pretty cheap imo

A really really quick search on Google shows the 7 books (albeit possibly with different covers) for cheaper on loads of more well known sites----

£34.19 at Amazon.

£37.19 at WH Smiths

£38.64 at Base.com

And many more!

Can't understand how this deal got hot.

Because there different editions , some more collectable than others . The prices of the box sets varies quite a lot . Some are over the £150 mark .

For some 1 wanting this particular boxset then its very cheap .

If you're picky about your editions, they had you're exact same one for £36.38 at grabmore.co.uk, although they're currently OOS.

Yes i know that , they have been OOS for months , so bit of a pointless point lol .

This is for the people who may be looking for a cheap harry potter set , if your not , then no worries , no offence meant , move on

As someone looking for a good but cheap box set of harry potter books would you recommend the red one?
play.com/Boo…rch
or the black one?

Or would the one mentioned in the topic be better?

The Book People have the adult paperback set for £47:

thebookpeople.co.uk/web…124

I'm astonished they're that expensive TBH. Not a Potter fan but for the authors I follow I tend to buy their stuff in hardback on release and don't often pay more than £10-£12 for a 500+ page hardback O_o

Prices are inflated at the moment, to coincide with the release of the latest film.

"Everybody loves a bit of Potter!"

Cold, adult editions at amazon for £35. No difference bar the book cover.

Wrong reepah . There are differences . One set being wrote / illustrated for adults . One set being wrote for the younger child . There totally different .
These are perfect for my 7 year old .

Getting the DVDs over the books? Thats just stupid, the films dont come close to the books... but if you only want to know half the story, go ahead and buy the DVDs

WRONG RudiBryson. The only difference is the front cover. The story is exactly the same.

Thanks for your charming PM RudiBryson. Consider yourself reported.

P.S. Yes I do shop at Poundland from time to time. I enjoy their mutipack Space Raiders, toothpaste occassionally, and most recently, car mats and christmas decorations. What's bad about that?!

For all your talking nick , you are yet to show the box set cheaper and in stock elsewhere .

Jeez Rudi, I really REALLY don't care that much about it!

I had 5 minutes spare yesterday so found a load of cheaper boxsets for people who aren't desperate to have that particular boxset.
Now please go back to staring at the amazing dragon on your box.

But you still check back today , priceless
