This is a great deal.

Ty was gonna be booking tickets soon so this saves me looking at hotels separately

this is a God awful hotel right on a roundabout and it is nowhere near Watford. avoid

sorry but cold from me. We have just been to Harry Potter world (which was excellent) and as we booked in advance, I booked the premier inn in Watford for £29 for a family room!! Yes we did pay extra for breakfast but my.... it was worth it!!

It's only one night and if you are travelling a distance to attend the journey from Hatfield to Watford is a hop and a skip at 14m.

2 more upcoming sequels woo

it is a hole. I work opposite it on the business park, but the galleria shopping centre is in arms reach and that's worth it :-)

Not sure if this warrants its own thread but If you live in London or nearby then Groupon have an event on the 24th March (after hours 5pm-7.30pm), You get a free souvenir (which I hear is a programme, a selected hot meal; a glass of wine, beer, hot or soft drink; and a Butterbeer™ and to meet Warwick Davis for £49.

Normal adult entry cost is £35 or £44 for The Complete Studio Tour Package (Adult - Save £4.95) which includes Adult entry, souvenir paper guide and a digital guide - via the Warner Brothers website (no Butterbeer of food included).

Buy this Groupon voucher and use voucher code MVCGRL20 for 20% off making the Groupon deal £39.20 so only £4.20 more than the usual entry price for food, drink Butterbeer and a programme.
Deal ends at midnight TONIGHT. Its Past Midnight and the clock has reset to 23 hours left (Im guessing they didn't sell out) so there is still time to buy (4/3/16).

Unless you live in the South lol, then you are making more of a journey. I am planning the premier inn like daddycool1974 did, better deal in my opinion.

All these people saying The galleria is decent hahahahahahahhahahaha.

Literally one person said that.

If you've just come from Hatfield, then Watford won't seem such a dump I suppose, so there is some logic to the deal.

i kinda meant for eating out and for kids... agreed its hardly oxford street .. but surprisingly they do have some good outlet shops in there.. just not most of your run of the mill high street shops.

Is the meal and drink definitely included in the price? I kinda read it as during the short break, you will have chance to eat and drink (ie. you can buy meals, refreshments etc).

Can anyone confirm?

Agreed!
Better by looking elsewhere, The Premier inn Stanborough would be a better choice if booked advanced (only a extra 2 miles or so away)

good hotel,and good price

Not price checked it but there is a brand new Premier Inn in St Albans. Nearer to Watford than Hatfield, but in a nice historic market town, some good bars, restaurants, cathedral etc not such a dump.

Clearly you've never tried driving 14 miles in this area. Could take you and hour or more at busy times! And yes, Hatfield is a hole with almost no redeeming features.

Pompous much? How would you know where I have driven?

Guys i spent 5 years of my life in that dump, avoid it ramada hotel is old and hatfield there really is nothing to do. It will take you atleast an hour to get to watford

So nothing really makes sense...

How about: I grew up there (St Albans) whereas you appear to come from West Sussex; I worked the 'patch' for my company for 4 years; it took me 40mins to drive from one side of St Albans to the other a couple of weeks back (3 miles); the congestion has continued to worsen. I'll stand by my 'an hour or more at busy times' statement. It's good advice for someone who doesn't know the area and may be misled by this 'deal'. Stay nearer the venue, much nearer!

West Sussex is where I live. How does that in any way qualify you to comment on my knowledge of the area around Hatfield?

People who make stupid, lazy assumptions are not the types that can be relied on for advice.

I booked this yesterday, and am now worried after reading these comments we are travelling from North West England so it's a long way, we aren't snobby, and it's cost us less than the tickets alone would have cost.

To hopefully add a bit of balance, we did this very same deal just over a year ago (although its gone up in price now? We paid 130). The hotel was absolutely fine for us, no better or worse than a Travelodge/Premier Inn type place in my opinion. The staff were very helpful, especially so considering it was around christmas and they were fully booked with work parties, and the room was just fine. I think if you set your expectations along those lines you won't be disappointed.
As for the drive to the studio the next day - that took about half an hour? Although I'm sure that could vary hugely depending on the time of day, etc.

I think you will be just fine and exactly the reason I made my initial comment - the price makes a visit to this attraction possible for people travelling a long distance. It's not something you would want to consider doing in one day from the NW, so the ability to drive down, stay overnight, visit the attraction then drive home is something not to be missed at this price.

Don't turn up expecting the Hilton and you won't be disappointed.

Hope you and and yours have a great time there - my kids and their friends loved it.

Have you? Where in the OP does it say that Hatfield - record shops and shopping malls included - is the deal? It's an overnight stay in a hotel in Hatfield that forms only a very small part of the deal - not the whole town.

Having been shown by someone who has actually experienced this deal - publandlord - to be an unreliable source of "advice", and also illogically basing your "knowledge" of another individual's experience of a location based solely on where they live, you've now taken to pointless sniping. Good lord but Freud would have have his work cut out with you.
