Well i see Amazon has price matched the Tesco deal now! I personally opted for Tesco earlier because you get 20 clubcard points, every little helps lol and also can claim 8.08% cashback through Topcashback so a further potential saving of £1.61

Fab just ordered! Thanks

is this the whole complete set, including the new 1?

I'm so annoyed I went for the Tesco pre-order deal earlier in the year at £25! Ah well. Heat added.

Go this myself on the Teso deal which Amazon have since price matched.

Awesome, that's my sons Christmas present sorted!

For anyone that pre-ordered from Amazon and were charged £25.50, call them up and ask them for a £5.50 refund - they did it with little fuss

They have always done that automatically for me in the past, it's also part of their pre-order promise which includes day of release

Pre-order Price Guarantee

Amazon.co.uk's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and dispatched. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or video game, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you placed your order and up to and including the release date. A pre-order price guarantee message will appear on your Order Summary during the checkout process. If you use 1-Click ordering, pre-order price guarantee protection will be automatically applied. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of the price change.

Terms and Conditions:
Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to items sold by Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.co.uk's Preferred Merchant, Indigostarfish.com, at the website amazon.co.uk, and not to items (or prices) offered by third party sellers on Amazon.co.uk's Marketplace or at any of Amazon.co.uk's Trusted Partner sites, or from Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.it, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca or Amazon.com or any of its affiliates.
Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to not-yet-released books, CDs, videos, DVDs, software, and video games. It does not apply to other product lines or to items that have already been released.
Pre-order Price Guarantee applies only to items displaying the Pre-order Price Guarantee offer ("Offer") message on their product detail pages. Items that do not display the Offer message do not qualify, regardless of the nature of the items.
If your order enters the dispatch process before the release date and the price is subsequently lowered on or before the release date, we will automatically refund your payment card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price.

I've just spoken to an Amazon Representative on chat and who refused to give me the £5.50 refund and then closed the chat between us.

The item is no longer considered pre-order - it was dispached 2 days ago and my card was charged 2 days ago therefore no longer automatic

Thanks mate just ordered for my Daughter.

Phone them up, hopefully you will be more lucky! In the email confirmation they sent me, they said it is a "one-time exception" and "against their standard policy".

This is wrong. The price promise has nothing to do with when your card is charged or when the order is received. It is the lowest price UP TO AND INCLUDING THE DAY OF RELEASE - which is today.

Don't worry, they wouldn't do it because you will get it automatically

Many people received it before today - I would not expect them to automatically change the price due to their pre-order guarantee after they have dispatched the item. I would however expect them to refund automatically for goodwill as it's such a big difference (>20%) and so soon after (before many have received the item even though it has been dispatched).

If anyone is around Tesco in Richmond they are handing out £3 off vouchers for a £20 pound spend @ the entrance meaning you can get the Harry Potter boxset for £17! Plus I was able to use another voucher I had to get it for £14!

It's the price of the product up to and including the day of release. As I said, it makes no difference when you received the item as they are not 'supposed' to get it to you before release. Today is the release day, that is all that matters for ANY pre-order. Is that not clear?

Amazon do not need people to phone them, it's not how they roll!

This is a good deal. I pre-ordered the BluRay edition which was £32.50, thats not changed. But this is hot!

Yes that is clear however let's see if people receive the automatic refund as they should be - as I said in the email I received following my call they said it is against their terms and they are making a one-off exception etc. which is evidently not true

Ordered. Cheers OP

oh how annoying is this i ordered mine from hmv for £25.50 and got it yesterday i havent opened it as it is a gift for someone! do hmv do price promise thing?

now that is a great deal !

A girl on twitter phoned them and got £5 back so it seems to be worth a try.

I think they should honour it (this is the day of release even if some were lucky to get it before today). I ordered the blu ray which I think has only dropped about £2 so I'm not bothered.

Thank you Will make a great christmas gift.

No extra content remember. Not saying we all want the content but don't want anyone to be disappointed?

hi

just chated with online rep, and managed to persuade him for a refund

This is worrying me - all these people being refused refunds by Amazon. I pre-ordered with them at £25.50, and I've just been checking through their pages and not only does the price promise apply up to the date you pay, but if they dispatch it early and the price goes down on the release date they're supposed to automatically refund you the difference. But will they?
Quote; If the price is lowered on the release date and your order has already been dispatched, we will automatically refund the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price. Unquote.

I'm feeling a deep unease about this, even though I've never been in this situation before. How long should an automatic refund like this take? Anyone know?

Only need 7.1 and 7.2 but at this price it's worth £4 extra (about £2 after Quidco and Clubcard points) for the box. I can sell my old copies next year if the rumours of all HP movies being withdrawn by Warners are true. Wonder if I should return No 6 to Bee.com (it only cost £2.99 and arrived today!) or sell it on fleabay?

Just went onto live chat and got £5.50 knocked off

Cheers, OP! Just got the price refunded as I preordered it and it was £25.50

yeh not sure whats happin as it aint arrived yet but a phone call assures me I will get the difference back and an email on tuesday....should I accept it at the door or tell them to take it back.....I trust amazon...dont I ....

Got my automatic refund today, hope you all have done too. If you chat, it's generic responses you'll get from Amazon.
