Great price but has to be a misprice as it is 1/3 the price of the DVD set. Doubt that they will honour it but worth a punt!

Very confused. My confirmation e-mail says. HAHA, We have got you. You have fallen for our scheme and we now have possession of all your details and will bombard you with junk e-mails forever more.

Anyone idea what this could mean?

Gave it a go, cheers

It means you don't want anyone else to order it, thus increasing the probability Argos don't notice the misprice and thus you get it at that price. :whistling:

And me, Thanks

But under trading standards they have to honour the price as that what its listed at, even your confirmation email states that price.

Aww well ordered both Harry Potter Set + Kill Bill set:thumbsup:

Woo Woo! Ordered this too.

if these aren't honoured I hope the muppet who made the pricing mistake gets a good shoeing.

Although somebody has mentioned Argos Entertainment is provided by thehut. might be worth having a punt from thehunt, as they have the same misprice, but at £6.43 :w00t:

I hope my 10 come through ok

Ordered worth a shot

10 will never come. Either your order will be reduced to one or, more likely, totally cancelled. People who have ordered one have a shout at getting it. Albeit a slim one...

Direct link not working. And I cannot find via the search bar.

cue the cancelation e-mails

managed to order one although I missed the kill bill/ sin city set

Seems to have been removed from the site now, glad I got in.

terms and condition state that the contract is formed when the item is dispatched - i looked into this last year when Asda stitched me on an ipod and trading standards agreed with Asda - different set of rules relating to internet sales

It's not just internet sales.
If you walk into say PC World and they were selling an LCD panel for £9.99 they can't actually be forced to sell it to you at that price.
They just claim a mistake pricing and that will be that.

As much as I always champion us, the consumer in most things, stores should be allowed to make mistakes and cancel all sales legally (as they can now).

But i work in a supermaket and if the price is marked up wrong we have to let the customer have it at the price they have seen on the shelve.

There was an argos thread a while back where they miss-priced bed+mattress for £99.99. They tried getting people to cancel, but after a while offreed a slightly different bed + mattress and honoured the deal, so do put up a fight!

I'm not a lawyer, but did study a small section of law as part of other studies and one thing which at the time I was told was a strict rule of contract law was that once money has changed hands, the contrat is binding to both parties. Until money changes hands, either can chage their mind.

In truth though whatever Argos decides, I can't believe anyone will sue them for the Harry Potter box set so it is probably a mute point, but good luck to you all, wish I had seen/ordered this in time!

That's a policy decision of the supermarket, not consumer trading law.

juz got an email saying tht they cancelled the order =(

Cancelled here too. At least there wasn't a long delay and building up of false hope

Why are you unhappy? Were you seriously expecting to get this at such a ridiculous price?
