Cold haha, hopefully help someone:-)

With the constant and continuing bad reviews surrounding hatchimals am really surprised people are still going all out to get them!

20 mins to hatch...

2-3 hours to go from baby to adolescent

only mimics the child's voice doesn't actually speak or interact itself, pat and stroke it when its sad/happy THATS IT! £60... total waste of money will be in the bottom of the toy box by January, if it lasts that long!

Oh well at least my post got me a flamedeer

thanks.

Not the best toy but if your child asks for it what can you do. Heat to counteract the meanies out there.

Any idea what's a hot Xmas present for 9 & 10 year old girls?

I've got a hatchimal she'd love, yours for £2000 lol

buy on ebay if you really need one for your kid, completed listings average £80-85

I would rather pay £25 extra than chase them in shops personally

Just buy a live chick for a fraction of a price. Lasts longer and make a nice burger once you're bored of it.

Children don't understand the concept of it being rubbish... All they remember is that they asked for something and Santa didn't get it for them! Lucky this is not on the list this year.

Luckily for me I have raised my children to be grateful for the things they get. Not spoilt little ungrateful brats who only want things because everybody else has it

makes them realise that Santa can't always get everything on their list. my kids circled 90% of the smyths book and unfortunately they can't have it all

lol lovely so anyone who wants anything your children are not getting because you do not agree with the cost or are following the trends or want anything other kids are getting which is pretty much every kid are spoilt little ungrateful brats. Hope your children grow up with a different attitude to you infact i find you and your view obnoxious.

Have some heat as it may help others. There is plenty who cannot afford the £30+ on top that ebay are asking and only trying to get what their kids asked for. Pity some use it as an excuse for moralising to others

I didn't say any of that I was merely stating that regardless of getting this toy my children will be very happy with what they get on Christmas morning because they have been raised to appreciate what they get no what they don't get. U find me obnoxious? I wasn't aware you knew me but thanks for your opinion I'll keep it in mind (_;)

Nope just normal well rounded children who ask for things they don't always get

I agree with you, refused my 6 years old as a Christmas gift , may be worth if it's around £20 or less

Am I totally missing something here... nobody is making anyone buy this , if your child has asked for it and you want to get it for them hopefully I've helped you get your hands on one at the rrp not a stupidly inflated price from an auction site..... if you think it's a waste of money don't buy it simple as!

Both my girls asked for one of these, I was lucky and managed to get 2 on Smyths preorder, I couldn't care less if people give it bad reviews, if it's a complete waste of time and it's a load of rubbish, I work hard, very hard, and worked extra shifts to afford them, seeing them both open them on Christmas morning and playing together (even if it only lasts a week) is worth it to me......they'll soon be grown and demanding money, trainers and make up......I'm happy to buy a the latest trend toy and cherish the Christmas magic of santa memories that you only get a few years of

Are you going to work even more and harder to give them the money, trainers and make up they 'demand' when older?
