In case anyone is interested in Haven. If you search for holidays in October 2018 there are some good prices.

For example, 4 nights in a standard caravan for 2 adults and 2 children for 8 October is £108.75 at PerranSands, Cornwall.
At the Lake District it is £201 for a prestige caravan for the same time as above and £99 for a standard caravan for 1 October.

Twice that for half term dates though.
Twice??? some parks are being charged at 3 times the rate of a non school holiday its scandalous there is nothing different from going in Aug or Oct other than the kids cant go in Oct so lets fleece all the parents for what little money they dont have
I found this information on the co-op website.

Even if you aren’t our lucky winner, you can still save up to £50 on your holiday. Simply go to haven.com/coop or call 0332 202 5248 and quote Z_COOP to claim your discount.

Completely agree about the price going up during half term but thought it might be a good price for some people.

They price based on demand. Don't take it personally!! What do you want them to do? Keep the prices the same all year so that they break even in the school holidays but have empty caravans the rest of the year?

Just accept that for 10 to 15 years of your life you are competing with other parents for holidays out of term time. There is no vendetta against parents! After that (and before) you can take lots of cheap holidays subsidised by parents!

"there is nothing different from going in Aug or Oct " ... nothing different ... except the demand is far greater and the supply is the same, that is. Plus more staff and entertainment in August to pay for. So, I know its mighty frustrating as a parent to look at the different prices, and feel forced to pay more - but that doesn't mean its a scandal, just free market economics, which most of us vote for.
Some really good deals on Hoseasons for October half term. Using partner links e.g. Teacher discount or uni discount (no evidence required) you can get an extra 7% off, and using Tesco Clubcard even more. £109 for 4 nights in gold caravan in Skegness (don't judge me I like it there lol!). Thought that was pretty good.
Also booked a week over new year in Northumberland for £309. Not bad.
I understand there is more demand and a need to mark up the prices in accordance to this but i don't see how they can justify and get away with that mark up being 2 - 3 times more its like go outdoors charging you 300% more for a tent just because its summer its a joke and no other business or companies would get away with chargin such a mark up just because of a bit more demand an they get away with it because everyone like everyone here seems to take it as acceptable its nbot
