Seems a very unrealistic price for GM Dexos 2 rated oil. Tempted to go for it. Almost 50 quid at sister company ebay.co.uk/itm…108
Just bought 2 for £16.64 using the discount code. Really will be surprised if I get them.

We actually have 4 Vauxhall cars in the family, so these will come in very handy for topping up. I would have bought more if I was servicing the cars myself, as I usually do, but these cars came with a Lifetime Warranty (100,000 miles), so need serviced at VX dealer (or VAT registered garage using VX parts) for the duration of the warranty.

No good for VW /Audi then, but heat given.

Good for ford focus mk2? Is this a good brand?

No good for my motor but £9 oO Holy batman cow!!!

Yea it's a bloody good price, but it's a non stock item currently. Everytime I've ordered non stock items from the EuroCarParts group they have canceled my order.

great price.
i recently bought 2x 5L 5W-40 that was on here recently

chainsaw oil :-)

thanks. ordered two for my 2.2 diesel. hope this oil is good for DPF

If there is one thing I have learnt in life from experience is that you shouldn't buy cheap oil. Try and find a bargain on reputable high quality oil. Likewise fit GOOD branded tyres. The oil is the only thing lubricating the engine and the tyres are the only thing keeping you stuck on the road.

that might be true for £40K cars...

Nonsense. Any car will benefit if you do regular miles. If you don't really drive a lot then fair enough, stick to cheap parts as your car is an occasional run around. Even then, branded parts can be had for reasonable prices if you really shop around.

if it's good enough for BMW long life 04 (which is one of my specs), it's certainly good enough for a 59 plate Astra

What would you recommend ? Castrol ?

Looks like they have given it the price of a 1L bottle by mistake....

order now or regret your turpitude

thanks. ordered two for my 2.2 diesel. hope this oil is good for DPF

You need the correct spec low ash (Low SAPS) oil for cars with a DPF.

theaa.com/mot…tml
auto400.co.uk/die…fs/

Why anybody takes a gamble to save a few quid where damage to a component could result and cost one or two grand is anybodies guess. DPF's are already problematic, flakey and unreliable - voluntarily filling the engine with standard synthetic oil is just going to hasten their demise and the arrival of a huge cleaning / replacement bill.

But VERY good luck with your short term money saving!, saving £30 - £40 on an oil change to risk damage running into four figures. Outstanding!. Some people should really stick to buses and bikes.

he'd recommend you stick your finger up your exhaust

you're better off listening to people who do & act as opposed to people who are like bundles of cotton wool
