Thanks, glad I checked HUKD before I completed my purchase, saved an additional £18. I actually really like their shirts

Cheap and poor quality materials and they took no shorter than 6 months to action a return. I ended up having to go down the PayPal claim route as they simply don’t respond or action anything via they customer services. Cant agree that they are the same quality as TM or CT, but appreciate this is subjective.

I have the same offer.

I've found them to be at least equal to CT or TM Lewin, what have you found to be the issue with them?

Completely disagreed. TM Lewin and CT make dreadful shirts, particularly TM Lewin.

They can't be all bad - they sponsor Kyren Wilson :D

Hawes & Curtis - really good shirts, and Customer Services have been excellent...

What is on offer? The man, girl or just the shirts (or 2 shirts, the man and the girl) ?

Obviously everyone has their individual preferences etc. All I can say is that my experience was of cheap quality shirts which were impossible to iron, and the resulting refund took Hawes and Curtis over 2 months to action, and only then because I raised a Paypal dispute.

Terrible quality shirts. They do not last at all! I bought a minimum of 7 shirts from here. All of them ripped at the elbows within 4 months of usage. They were all alternated properly, washed according to instructions. I had another 7 shirts from various places such as Next and Zara and they are of a much better standard. How this brand is on Jermyn St and still receiving any customers is incomprehensible. I complained at an alternative branch, the Westfield Stratford store and was told by the manager on duty that I would need to visit Jermyn St again. A sales advisor there said I was measured incorrectly and that was the reason for the poor longevity. The incompetence proposed by the sales assistant was merely a cover up for the poor quality shirts. Colleagues at work have also said they have similar experiences with TM Lewin and they have come to accept it. DO NOT accept poor quality and switch to quality menswear alternatives such as M&S, Next, Zara, Mango. The customer service and quality at Hawes & Curtis is shocking.

Only on full priced items. Does work on the 2 for £80 shirts deal though. Free delivery to store only or £4.95 home. Love H&C.

thanks for posting! last day for amex offer so get in quick. I always find Hawes and Curtis quality and fit better than any other ones. Somewhat limited choices if you buy from them for the last 3 years, but definitely worth it. Amex cashback/offer always tracks so far. Cheapest shirt you can get for the quality.

Smashing offer. Ordered, thanks Op. Heat!

It's a discount you activate in your Amex account, I did it in the app. It's not technically a discount but an account credit after your purchase but I've never had any issues with this setup with Amex, unlike other cash back style deals. So activate this in your amex app then purchase with that credit card, with the FEB35 code on the H&C site.

Cheers. these Amex deals are great. Hawes and Curtis appear regularly and they are now my go to place for shirts and even suits. 3x shirts and 1x pair of shoes for £106 isn't bad.

When/where do I see the Amex discount? It takes me to entering the card details for the charge of £63.45.

Yeah mine is 18" neck but chest is 44 I would recommend you getting extra slim fit .. because chest size is smaller on that but yeah

How is their sizing, most of the "made to measure" shirts I find take a couple of measurements and then estimate the rest. I've got a 17" neck but only a 38/40 chest, so whenever I buy these tyoes of shirts I get a shirt with a 46" chest, presumably only gorillas have 17" necks :D

Personally I don't rate Thomas Pink shirts that much. Have never tried H&C though...

Thanks for posting @kingkhan12 and welcome to HUKD. I've changed the link as the one you posted goes to £45 shirts.

Buyer beware, shocking customer services, refused returns and poor quality shirts. Of the 5 shirts I purchased after 12 months only 2 remain. The shirts are cheap thin cotton and rip easily. e.g when putting a jumper on! Buy at your own risk.

American Express holders may want to check their 'offers' on their account as well as I currently have a 'get £20 off a £100 spend' at Hawes and Curtis offer from them. Used it today to buy 5 shirts for £100, so with £20 refund only cost me £80. Bit of bargain for 5 decent quality shirts.

answered my question before i asked it. Will stick with TML

Thank you, as I said, I was a bit disappointed when a colleague didn't rate them but it seems he's in a minority. Thank you to everyone else who responded to my question regarding CT as well. It looks like I'll have a belated order going in. Cheers.

I'm not a fan. Was in Glasgow store 10 days or so ago, they are closing down and discounted shirts to £17.50. Customer service was non-existent so I chose a classic cut (thinking it's a genuine classic style )16" neck for my hubby and it's HUGE!!! Massive!!!! We have a super king size bed and this shirt would make a fab sheet for it, it's that bloody big!! If anyone is a 16 inch neck with an over inflated balloon body, please...contact me, I will send it free to you as long as you send pics of you wearing it lol!!!

No, not at all. CT are still independently owned by the original founder, whilst H&C although founded many years earlier are now owned by Low Profile Holdings and the Cypriot businessman Touker Suleyman. I used to buy H&C shirts, but now much prefer CT and usually buy them on the 4 for £100 offer with a £10 off voucher.

I'm sorry I don't know, I've had 2 of these and they were great quality, ironed well and wore well.

Are these not the same company as Charles Tyrwhitt and made in China. I bought one of these and did not think much of the quality, but I suppose that is personal choice.

hawes and curtis shirts 17.95. bought a few and tag indicates the rrp is 79.95. great shirts. top quality.

I must admit that I don't buy from H & C anymore for the reason of the ironing difficulty (and sometimes the fit). Charles Tyrwhitt or Pink (if it's a good month!) for me.

We got 5 for my son for his birthday... and all of a different "type" and only about 1 really irons well... the rest ...takes ages.. Or maybe a different iron?

Plus £4.95 delivery

You probably got a particularly bad shirt, I've only got a few H&C shirts but none seem to be difficult to iron. I do have one TM Lewin plain blue shirt which it so tough to iron plus it creases just wearing it! I have tons of TM Lewin shirts and none of the others are like this so I just put it down to a bad buy. As for the deal, please make yourself known if you are one of the 3 people who have bought a shirt at £79.95 at H&C! If you can find a nice shirt in your size, then £17.95 is a great deal, have had one or two in the past

hard to iron ... even when damp ... as the sales suggested!!

Hawes & Curtis - Flash Sale Men's Shirts £15 - Extended
Hawes & Curtis started a pretty good flash sale on their web site. Good high street shirts for a fair price. =) worth checking. Extended until Wednesday night.

Perfect. Just what I needed. Thx Op xx

For what its worth I consider H&C to be the best overall value for money. The fabrics, design choice and materials are very good. The silk touch is fantastic. I have never had any rip at the elbows with H&C and that sounds like a specific sizing issue to that person. I agree that CT are well made, but the choice and selection in their range is quite limited. With TM the shirt material is paper thin and cheap also. The double cuffs are not as good and far too small although their collars are stiffer which is a good thing (the trend seems to be quite soft collars these days).

Thanks, took the plunge and ordered.

Thanks OP

Clearly not the best. Unlike many other HUKDers, I prefer TMLewin over CT. But had one H&C and never again.

be wary of Quidco cashback. I had 2 large separate purchases 2 weeks apart rejected by Hawes & Curtis about 4 or 5 months ago. Purchase amounts were approx £150 and £320. I appealed and still awaiting an update. Dissapointed in Hawes & Curtis.

There are a number of shirts in great sizes at £17.95, free collection in store, with up to 10.5% cutback and no minimum purchase around. Purchased two shirts at £37.90, free delivery, minus 10.5% =£16.96 per shirt. No requirement for numerous purchases the CIMA 20% code doesn't work but hey-good shirts at a reasonable price.

Very good quality shirts. TM Lewin are ok - if you're buying blue pink or white. To the person who ask, if you get the silk touch ones, they are very easy to iron.

Thank god! I dipped back about 5 times in the last few weeks and ordered more. Ordered some of the shirts I really liked twice, as is only a matter of time before I catch them on something, or curry sauce spills and what not.
