3356880.jpgI don't know how much more I paid for this light last year, but I assure you that this is the best torch you can buy for £16!

I use it all the time myself when out in the woods: the torch is nice & bright, but when you fold it open and turn on the work lamp you really light up the whole place.

It also has a flashing red light setting, for example for roadside use. Even more, it's got magnets so you can attach it to your car bonnet for example, and a fold-out hook so you can hang it up.

Charges up with included USB/mini USB cable, the same as many mobile phones have (and you can charge up in your car too)

I have this torch, got it for £8 when my local homebase closed down. Its really handy for work, I use the magnets to stick it to the inside roof of my van when looking out tools at night. Really bright
Interesting torch cheers OP, what batteries does it take and can you use the torch/fold out bits seperately?

It is mains charged, comes with a little usb charging cable.
You can use each bit separately with a couple of presses of the button, it also has a red flashing light.
Handy piece of kit, well worth the money
Sofirn SC31B from AliExpress for cheaper and better overall torch.

It's a rechargeable torch and the battery is built in. You can't detach any parts, so the only negative may be for some that it's a bit bulky.

Certainly not a better torch for me mate, that's just a torch and won't have as bright a work light as this Hawk one. Plus - I like Homebase Edinburgh.
Well, I bought one. Quite well made, though not outstanding. Tough plastic shell with rubber armour. Torch is usable but not very bright. The cob work light leds though are literally brilliant, very good brightness and spread. The folding mechanism which means you can stand the light up is actually very clever. Only IP20 so not water or dust resistant at all, but I would expect it would cope with getting a little damp but not soaked. Says it has overcharge and over-discharge protection so hopefully the battery will stay good. So long as it doesn't pack up for a decent length of time then it seems a bit of a bargain.
Seems decent for this price
Thanks OP; nearly bought an inferior one, which I had the temerity to even post...
