Stores here
3394812.jpgAs we all know, Hawkin's Bazaar are having financial difficulties - obviously, not something to celebrate, but I noticed they have some good prices on drones when someone mentioned their sale on another forum. May be worth a look in stores? Bad luck for me as there's none in Glasgow

Not sure about their RRPs, but most prices are on a par from Chinese sellers.

"The Norwich-based chain has suspended its website but its 20 stores, which are already running clearance sales, remain open. Gift cards will only be accepted for a limited time after administrators were appointed." - from theguardian.com/bus…ion

Some examples (the Deal post link shows you the full selection, Low-High):

VN10 Eagle Recon Drone, £29.99 Was £100 hawkin.com/vn1…one
3394812.jpgGain a vantage point in the sky with the amazing VN10 Eagle Recon Drone. This brilliant quadcopter is perfect for beginners as it's easy to fly and very stable in the air. Slide an SD card into the onboard poseable wide-angle camera and you're ready to take photos and record footage from the air. Just press a button and the Eagle Recon Drone will happily snap away for you. And when it's back on the ground, simply take the card out, plug it into a computer, and you're ready to see the results.

This drone is very easy to operate thanks to the automatic altitude hover mode which lets you take your mind off the controls to focus on getting the best pictures. It also features everything you'd expect from a modern drones, like gyro-stabilisation, 2.4G (for enhanced range and reduced signal interference) and a speed toggle for increased control. If you're looking for a good all-round beginners drone, then look no further than the VN10 Eagle Recon. Need help setting it up? Watch our video here!
The assembled flying weight of this drone is 148g - so no need for a drone license to fly it!

VN12 Condor Large Outdoor Helicopter, £19.99 Was £80 https://www.hawkin.com/xr-…ter3394812.jpgTake to the sky in a big way with this huge helicopter that measures 60cm from nose to tail. Due to its humungous size this high-flying beast excels when flown outside, capable of navigating any open space effortlessly with its 3-channel movement. What’s more, this impressive remote control helicopter boasts gyro-stabilisation technology that keeps it level in the air, as well as operating on the 2.4GHz frequency that cuts out interference from other devices. It’s a doddle to fly too, thanks to the intuitive controller that allows pilots of all experience levels to pull off controlled manoeuvres like a pro.

Syma X25Pro Drone with GPS, £49.99 Was £125 hawkin.com/sym…one
3394812.jpgThe next generation of Syma drone is here, with fantastic new GPS enabled models changing the way you fly forever! The X25Pro is a mid-size drone equipped with an FPV camera that streams a live feed to your smartphone. Whilst in flight, the drone utilises its GPS connection to stay exactly where you want it to be, making this one of the most stable drones in our fleet. This helps it combat factors like wind and sudden gusts that would normal knock it off course. There's even a one-button return feature that allows the drone to return to the exact point it started from with a single button push.

Another neat feature that utilises your smartphone and GPS is that the X25Pro can have a course plotted for it to follow. Simply draw out a course on your phone screen and the drone will follow it automatically, allowing you to focus on what it sees, rather than where it's going.

All of this is joined by the standard array of high quality Syma drone features you would expect, such as one-button take-off and landing, 2.4G operating frequency and the very latest in gyro-stabilisation technology. All-in-all, it's an exceptional drone for pilots who want a bit more from the hobby.

Syma X8Pro Drone with GPS, £69.99 Was £170 hawkin.com/sym…gps
3394812.jpgThe next generation of Syma drone is here, with fantastic new GPS enabled models changing the way you fly forever! The X8Pro is a large drone equipped with an FPV camera that streams a live feed to your smartphone. This helps it combat factors like wind and sudden gusts that would normal knock it off course. There's even a one-button return feature that allows the drone to return to the exact point it started from with a single button push.

Another neat feature of the camera is that it can pan vertically, allowing you to adjust the angle of the lens in flight to ensure you get the footage you need. Combined with the ultra-stable GPS system that keeps the drone hovering in place, you can spend more time focusing on what's in front of the camera, rather than piloting the drone.

All of this is joined by the standard array of high quality Syma drone features you would expect, such as one-button take-off and landing, 2.4G operating frequency and the very latest in gyro-stabilisation technology. All-in-all, it's an exceptional drone for pilots who want a bit more from the hobby.

Syma W1 Drone with Camera and GPS, £99.99 Was £225 hawkin.com/sym…gps3394812.jpgThis FPV camera drone from Syma is packed with the latest technology that makes it both easy to fly and fantastic for taking pictures in the air. Featuring advanced onboard GPS and optical flow positioning, the W1 drone is incredibly stable in the air and can maintain its position even under windy conditions. What’s more, set the drone to follow mode and it will automatically follow the pilot, or set it to point of interest mode and it will orbit a designated person or subject. This makes it great for getting the footage you need and lets you take your hands off the controller to strike a pose or focus on another task.

Whilst the Syma W1 can be controlled using the official app, it also recognises gesture commands, allowing you to control the drone by waving your arms. This is perfect for snapping selfies and other similarly simple tasks. And speaking of selfies, the camera can record images at 5MP and 1080P, ensuring you get amazing quality photos and videos every time. It can also transmit a live feed directly to your phone display, giving you a drone’s eye view of everything it can see.

Couple this with simple controls and a handy home feature that returns the drone to the same spot from which it took flight, and it’s a brilliant drone for pilots who want an affordable drone with hobby-grade features.

@louiselouise what makes you think the website is suspended?

When you add to Basket it says39756425-Ft06R.jpgI also quoted the Guardian article above (I have added a ton of text, so it's probably hard to spot).

I didn't see that, just searched to see if there were any Live Deals. Wish there was one in Glasgow, I have a Hubsan Drone I could've bought bits for. Oh well.
Oh dear, it says

Sadly some stores closed with immediate effect of them entering administration from what I can see.

- Dundee
- Shrewsbury
- Milton Keynes
- Newcastle
- Metrocentre Newcastle
- Worthing
- Basingstoke
- Chelmsford
- Carmarthen

Aberdeen's store closed just after Christmas

Plus 1 more store has shut since this thread was written

- Cambridge

Only worth taking a look to see if your store is open if you're passing - don't make a journey to one specifically without checking first. Thanks minifig290
