Another great deal from Hawkshead with 75% off some lines. Just ordered 2 pairs of Boots. If you havent bought of this site the clothes are pretty good value and in the sale are a bargain. Buy with confidence and only £3.95 for postage so its a win/win in my book

cold - god knows ......i managed to hit it as i just posted - newbie mistake :-)

Good find, I'll add a few degrees to heat it up

ordered thanks, dont forget quidco 6%

Nice boots them. Shame I'm skint.

I've found Hawkshead to be good quality too.

Caddo Valley ones are waterproof and look the most hard wearing (the ones below and in the OP), so I've ordered a pair. I hope they fit though... £3.50 to return them if not!

It's been £19 since the start of the sale mate. That's just an example in the OP. The main deal is 75% off. I think the cheapest pair are £16 so that's where that price came from.

Whatever happened to the distance selling regulations.

CN10 does not seem to be working for me, any ideas?

Great deal, applies to loads more than just footwear, a lot sold out mind.

Sadly I am not a new customer, just an old one that hates paying postage! :o)

had got some walking boots from them in the previous 75% sale, so picked up some cheap coolmax socks this time. Thanks for the heads up OP.

I too have used this code and similar ones before with no problems. But this time says

"We're sorry but the Offer Code you have entered has not been recognised, please check the Offer Code is correct and try again. Please note offer codes are case sensitive."

Oh well, no wellies for me.:(

Its working as planned .... you have the ability to return items to Hawkshead for a refund under DSR but they are allowed to make a charge for the cost of handling the return. DSR specifically does not require the seller to bear the cost of the return.

N.b. in a recent radio item about Amazon's move into shoe sales their spokesperson made a big deal over their policy of allowing free returns for shoes - though they don't do this for other items.

I logged in and used SS10?!? No 10% off but at least I haven't had to pay postage.

I recently bought a pari fo the Coonawarra boots and have been very impressed. So many cheap walking shoes don't seem to last but these feel very sturdy and required hardly any breaking in; indeed they were very comfortable from day 1.

However, I have to admit I find that Hawkshead's website leaves a lot to be desired. Everything seems to be almost permanently sold out in the size you want, which seems ridiculous. If they keep selling out, why don't they get some new stock in?

I'm wondering if it's a closing down clearout.

This sale has been going for a few weeks - and the prices are REALLY cheap - now and nothing is being restocked. Smells of pre-closedown clearance to me?

Has anybody ever received a full order from Hawkshead? I recently ordered 2 fleeces, a jacket and a pair of trousers. It took them over 2 weeks to dispatch the order, which comprised just one fleece, the other items marked as 'out of stock'.

All items were in stock at the time of order. How hard is it to reserve items when an order is placed? Their stuff does seem good quality, but I'll not be purchasing from them again unless they can guarantee that items in stock at the time of order will be delivered. Two weeks between order placement and dispatch is unacceptable in this day and age.

Anyone know what the sizing is like on the Caddo Valleys? ie I normally take a 9, but need a 10 for Merrells, and 9.5s for Brashers.
Is the size 9 for example accurate or should I order a size up?

I put an order in right at the start of this "sale" and it turned up within a couple of days.

With orders taking longer to go out, not being completed and the fact that every single item on the site on "sale" (mostly double reduced as well) ... it looks more and more like a closedown.

Looks like they had problems a few years ago - guardian.co.uk/bus…6/1 - and were bought out. Wonder if they're going down the tubes again?

Another 70£ spending...

ordered, thanks!
couldnt see where to apply for free posting (new customer) but hey ho, cheap enough anyway

I ordered 2 things, but only recieved one, delivery was slowish, took about a week & a half to arrive. Likewise my second item was marked as out of stock.

just bought a nice gilet for £14.10, plus quidco and using free delivery SS10

Thanks:)

Remember when they had "problems" a few years ago I had an order take some time to arrive ... but then it arrived twice!

LOL, Check out the reviews. Clearly not done by the company...

Now owned by Regatta, who are apparently closing Hawkshead
http://www.sgboutdoor.co.uk/news/fullstory.php/aid/3881/Regatta_closes_Hawkshead.html
Craghoppers also part of same group. At least I don't think they are yet owned by Mike Ashley, so you can buy from any of them with a clear conscience! Regatta quality pretty good, haven't bought from Hawkshead for years, but have ordered some of the socks. We'll see.
