I picked this up today in Poundland, it's set out just like a normal Haynes car manual complete with the monika on the front but its a guide to working from home, perfect novelty xmas present for anyone about to start working from home. Usual £1 bargain madness in store.

Sadly not, but that is a best seller idea if ever I read one

right then, ill get me shovel. just after I finish the water slide that stops over the school, through mcdonalds and back home like the advert.

Saw this in the Plymouth branch a few days ago - alongside the Haynes manual for Teenagers!

Is this not a serious manual then?

Think the fact that it's dressed up as a Haynes manual gives the game away...

The details on Amazon website and the review make it sound like it is actually an attempt at being serious!

We start with the planning, taking into account limited space and the importance of making sure that everything will work together. We then explore the various hardware and software options, considering flexibility and economy. We show how to harness the very latest technologies and explain how to collaborate both with headquarters and other remote workers, including a thorough overview of security. Finally, we throw the taxman into the mix and conclude with ways of keeping your cool when the distinction between home life and office life has blurred.About the AuthorKyle MacRae is a freelance writer and journalist living in Scotland. devastatingly accurate.

(currently working from home)

haynes must be really struggling with their normal car manuals with the amount of throw away gift kind of gimmicky crud they've been releasing recently.

Get up have coffee start work turn PC on...Have another coffee then down the local 9 hole for a quick round, home again kettle on for Coffee..Feet up for quick nap...coffee and biccy's at the ready for when you wake up from your nap...Mosey on over to the PC and turn it off as it is nearing 5:00 pm..Coffee time as works finished for the day...
Hang on may just get an hours overtime in and grab another 40 winks...ha ha

They are because the demand for their DIY car repair manuals has gone through the floor because: (a) modern cars are getting too complicated for amateurs to fix and (b) people can't be arsed to do stuff themselves anymore!
