Quidco is a cashback site.. ie. you go via Quidco link and pay the quoted prices and get a % of the transaction later in cashback (10% cashback for HMV)

Pans Labyrinth is listed as Spanish Language only with English subtitles. Is this correct - as other sites say it has english language (niot just subtitles) too.

Deffo a Spanish spoken film with English subs. Fantastic too, quite weird.

bought Mulholland Drive but when i was in checkout the picture was brotherhood of the wolf even though it linked back to Mulholland Drive lol

Normally I'm not keen on subtitles, but I have heard so many good comments about Pans Labyrinth (esp on HD DVD) that I went for it.

Thanks - heat added.

Pans Labyrinth was on Film 4 on Sunday night, first time I've seen it. Haven't watch a subtitled film in years but after 5 minutes you forget you're reading them, the film is that good. Quite brutal and graphic in places (especially the stitching up the wound scene!) but one of the best films I've seen in recent years. HD transfer is supposed to be top notch too, I'm very tempted by this but the missus won't be happy as I've spent a bit on HD Dvd's recently :w00t:

Get yourself a McDonalds meal and the chances are you'll pick up some £1 or £2 off HMV vouchers too as part of the Monopoly promotion. (Or just look around in any McDonalds. There's always loads of these tiny vouchers lying around that people have left.)

Are there any deals on the Blue ray DVD's?

Thanks! Ordered Pans' Labyrinth, brilliant film.

NB Quidco is now 9% for DVDs and CDs, it's 10% for books and accessories only.

Nip back into your HMV account quickly and cancel down, then re-order through Quidco. Worth it for the little bit extra.

I saw this for the first time the other night , I was left bewildered in the first 10 mins , after that I was hooked .

A fantastic film , even the subtitles didn't bother me , so much so just ordered the HD DVD as well .

Thanks OP

Quidco tracks at 10%, but HMV will only pay 9% for DVDs:

Subtitled films should never be ignored. Some of the best movies ever made aren't in English. Pan's Labyrinth though was a massive disappointment for me. Billed and marketed as a dark, weird fantasy movie, actually del Toro's excuse to make a war movie. And not a particularly interesting one either!

Trying to order Brotherhood of The Wolf through this offer, but when added to the basket it comes through as 9.99 instead of 7.99

It was certainly weird & dark for me .

voted hot !

hd dvd is dead!

Only joking. Just seems strange to have a post without some 'winner' telling us we're wasting our time buying HD-DVD!

does anybody know if/when any of these offers will be available in store?

Never, as far as I know all HD-DVD titles have now been lifted nationally, and that's why the titles are reduced on site.

Brotherhood of The Wolf is no longer available in this offer. They put it straight back up to full price.

Yeah... but a weird and dark war movie. 75% the general and his shenanigans, 25% the advertised fantasy storyline. I don't mind being surprised by a movie, but when I'm sold a fantasy movie, I do expect to see one.

Thanks to the OP....been after American Gangster for a while now, and well pleased to have got one at £4.99 (+ Quidco).

Awesome price for American Gangster!! - another 1 ordered!
