All sounds a bit iffy to me. Here's what Panasonic say..

Very very powerful camera for the price, is this a grey import?

Yes, these are Grey. Don't be too put off by that tho. I use one of these for wildlife etc. its a great camera for this, and i'm not yet convinced by the D500s ability to crop as well as the D7200. Beats my D810 and D4 in this area anyway

D3300 has a stereo mic jack. No mic jack on the D3400.

The D5300 is a bit heavier than the D3400 and the battery life is much improved, but in most other respects the D5300 is either as good or better for not much more money.

EDIT - Actually D5300 even cheaper with AF-P 18-55 just £385 + delivery at Hdew: hdewcameras.co.uk/nik…asp - that is a way better deal.

@SaxonStar - 50mm is a bit long for indoors on an apsc camera. The nikon 35mm 1.8 is a very good standard and a bargain too.

I went around all of South America and Europe with a Tokina 11-16mm and the Nikon 35mm as my two travel lenses and wasn't disappointed. I tried a 50mm but it just felt slightly too long for everyday use, although it was possible to make shots look quite intimate using it. Best way to find out which one works best for you might be to stick the kit lens on the focal length of each for a day or two.

I agree i own both those lenses and they are pretty much all I use.

Thanks for that, I think I will look at getting a new lens. Great picture by the way!
