Ever asked yourself why professional grade cables cost so much more than the normal ones? We did so at Pair & Go, we decided to make our own professional grade cable but at a price that won't break the bank. Unlike people not all HDMI cables are created equal. For one, not all HDMI cables are eye patterned tested for guaranteed compliance with HDMi 1.3 specifications. Many are only tested up to 720p/1080i resolution. The DB Connector however passes rigorous 1080p eye pattern test at speeds above 165MHz, twice the bandwith necessary for 720p/1080i. Our cable conforms to HDMI v1.3 and HDCP so it can carry the 1080p True HD signal with plenty of bandwidth to spare for things like high quality audio transmission.

Ahaha your so right mate! Morrisons fuel is rubbish! I seen em making it out the back one day when someone was pushing a pallet through some duble doors. They make it fresh everyday and then they ring a little bell when it's ready!

Somethings should be left to the purfessianals!

I like my branded fuel! I puts it in my car and then I can go well fast!

Yeah totally, the binary that this wire sends to the HDTV are slightly corrupted by the quality of the copper and the picture is not quite as good. Even a small amount of impurities can make the quality really drop because the image resolution is so big!

If you want good quality cleaner binary you need to spend at leats £40-£50 if not more!

I have some very good quality professional cables - £100 per cable with gold connectors, would you like to buy a few?

the people who say you need to spend a lot of money on HDMI cables work and currys/comet. ok, maybe not this cheap but a 10 quid one will do the same job as a 100 quid one as proven many times before, its just the quality of the materials.

More like the mark-up....

COLD. YES THIS NEEDS TO BE IN CAPS.

LOWER PRICE AT AMAZON FOR A 1.8M CABLE DELIVERED.

PRICE DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY AS IT IS DIGITAL, ALL THE QUALITY OF INPUT AND OUTPUT IS THE SAME. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT ONE MAY LAST LONGER.

THUMBS FOR SALTYCDOGGS SARCASM. THE ONLY REASON I CAN TELL IT WAS SARCASM IS BECAUSE I USED TO WORK THERE AND THEY DIDN'T MAKE THEIR OWN PETROL.

lol "woild you like to buy a few?" because I'm an idiot who bought them and now I know that it doesn't make a difference I want to sell them to save £99 per cable.

PS. the only reason you should spend money on these cables is if they are embedded in a wall, or you need to run a length of 10m+.

as long as its half decent build quality it should do the job, hot...

They didn't? oO

I just bought one of the cheap (under £2) cables from Amazon and while I'm not gonna try and tell anyone I now have a better picture, I feel in some instances there is reason to pay a little more, I bought it to swap out a very well made Gefen cable purely as it was a long pale blue cable that looked horrible. I'm using a multi-room tv set up involving high quality Gefen and Octava splitters and since putting in the new cheap cable from amazon I'n having problems with both sound and picture on the connected display. It can be solved by turning the tv off and on again and appears to be some kind of EDID problem but it's definitely the cable that bought on the problem. Can't give a technical reason, just stating a fact.

HDMI is a digital signal.

Either it gets through perfectly or it doesn't get through at all.

There is no difference between cheap or expensive cables.

Numerous blind tests have shown that people can't tell the difference.

If you can't fit a HDMI cable i'm not sure how you managed to register for this site and post that comment. Yes there wil be a lot of difference, you'll get a black screen or you'll get a picture, theres nothing inbetween.

OOS now anyway so you can all relax.

yes, there is a difference, i got 6 of them and altought all of them are working, the most expensive one which i remember paid £12 does not give me a picture on a particular samsung monitor that i use. my cheapest, a POUNDLAND one does do a better job.

I get what he is saying. I had a really cheap 99p cable and every time I moved my xbox or TV the cable just fell out as was made of really thin metal. A braided £2 one fixed the problem so he has a valid point.

totally agree - I find that all my digital devices work noticeably better with solid gold cables - those 1's and 0's really fizz down the pipe!
(I'll take a £100 HDMI for my 11" Tecnika LCD in the kitchen - will make Bargain Hunt soooo much better)

Lol, markup of £98, for the Amazon cable here. hehe. Solid gold is the way to go, although ive heard they are not as good as 1K plantinum cables - seems like we've been doing tremendous injustice to binary by using subpar only £100 cables!

Did you not spot the ridiculously sarcastic comments about binary? Having a masters degree in CS and doing it for my day job, i'd never be sucked into buying a £100 HDMI cable, the MD5 hashsum in the above linked artical says it all.

Anyhoo, in all seriousness, the only reason you'd want to pay a little more for a hdmi cable is either the length of it, or you want the build quality to be good.

If this was on amazon and 6 foot instead of 1M, i'd buy it, even so good price for quality meterials

Oh for God's sake, expensive digital cables do not give you better picture or sound.
