You can also power this through USB
been thinking of getting one of these.

Good item, can be bought from PLAY for the same price with extra 2% off via Quidco.

Added pic and more info to thread title. Please see help threads in my sig

Wondering if the quality remains the same as this can be a problem with some switchers.
Might get one though as I need an extra hdmi input as my TV's 2 slots are already used up.

A 3-way HDMI switch for only £30? Yep!

Thanks to Andrew (of SR-388.net) for the link on this one. It appears that in time for the Playstation 3 being released in Europe, Joytech are unleashing a true bargain for anyone who owns a TV with a limited number of HDMI connections - the "HDMI Tri Link Switcher". As you can probably guess from the "Tri Link" part, it accepts 3 HDMI inputs and has 1 output, which is a good number. On top of that, "Bi Link" would sound like a dating agency for people lucky enough to have uninhibited sex drives, and this product isn't nearly as interesting as that.

The device claims to work at up resolutions up to 1080p - which isn't surprising given the PS3's support for that resolution - and is by far the cheapest switch I've ever seen. By comparison, a similar HDMI switch from OCTAVA will set you back around £120. If Joytech's device works as claimed, then that means that the only benefits to existing devices will, by the looks of it, be metal casing (wowee).

Not only that, but the Joytech device comes with a remote control as well, which at this price, is pretty astonishing. It looks like they'll be making a lot of HDTV owners very happy indeed.

It's a digital signal so hard to see how quality could possibly be an issue. Not like scart where the signal is analogue so is sensitive.

It doesn't have to be for PS3 only does it? I know it is pimped as a PS3 accessory but it should accept all HDMI as far as I can see?

Nice spot

Needed something like this to connect my PS3 and new media PC (Through a DVI>HDMI lead) to the same HDMI port without fiddling round the back of my TV every time

Bought one of these from Amazon on pre-order (£29.99). It's quite small, quite plasticy, but well made and does the job perfectly. Can be powered by USB too (cable included), which is ideal for PS3 owners. Comes with remote too...

LOL, you reckon there's someone out there who'd be plugging his 3 PS3s to this?

The Trilink is fanatstic. Got mine from Amazon pre-order before the price went up from £30. Bargain.

Works very well with my Virgin V+ box and PS3. I have recently noticed some screen blanking on the V+ though in the past couple of days. Will try it a little longer to check it isn't just a glitch with V+. Both running at 1080i. 720p is also fine with no picture quality loss.

Other than that the Trilink is hidden behind the TV and I have the IR extender 'hidden' at the front (so small you dont see it).

Perhaps all the retailers who have lots of them in stock still? :whistling:

I pre-ordered from powerplay.com for £26 delivered but it looks like they have now bumped it up to £38!

Anyone still looking for a quick, SIMPLE and very CHEAP option for linking up to 3 HDMI devices to their LCD/Plasma TVs should note the price has now dropped to £29.99 at Play.com and £29.98 at Amazon

Forgot to add its nw £24.97 at gameseek.co.uk
