Building a huge customer base with second to none customer service and great prices, then dropping it dead is also sound business. As is exploiting loopholes and government policies for monetary gain.
Doesn't mean you should do it though.
Remember free next day delivery on any item?
Remember when they refunded a price increase with no questions and a smile?
Remember when prime was 49 quid?
I also remember when Amazon was the go to place to get the cheapest price. Very rare now.

Prime Day was more like Grime Day, all the dirt and rubbish products they was trying to offload bar a few decent ones.
I can only imagine this will be worse than prime day given its not a big event like black Friday or boxing day
My face lights up when Amazon have a good sale on, its been a long time but let's hope this one doesn't disappoint. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Was prime day no good for you then lol
That might explain why they've raised their warehouse deals prices by about 20%.

I have purchased a few things of late from other sources, as Prime was quite a bit more. I have the impression that they have ‘upped’ their prices somewhat. Of course it is not unusual to pay a bit more through Prime, but seems to now cost more and considering they pay next to no tax and also charge for Prime, it’s not on.

Yeah they always do that, but this year I actually found a couple of things that saved me a bit of money.
Did someone say Bank Holiday....ah....not north of the wall though....

All part of the Jeff Bezos business plan. Under price the opposition, provide a great service, make huge losses for years but steadily build market share and most importantly keep out any opposition. Now amazon is starting to cash in on what they have created. Their profits are already dramatically increasing as the big investors hiding in the background demand a return on the money they have invested. The great service will continue but we are increasingly going to have to pay more for it in future. Next up, sizable increase in the fee for prime. Already done it in the states and they will do it here too.
300 degrees for a heads up and something that would normally be moved to misc, another low for the site
So is the price going to be the same as stated now or cheaper from the 22nd?

Edit. Answered my own question - was looking at the. Mattress and its only two. Sizes. In the deal.

I've bought a huge amount in the warehouse laptops, tablets, toys and a lot of shoes everything has been new with sometimes damaged packaging I've only had to return a chromebook that wouldn't switch on and got a full refund I've had some ecco shoes in my basket but all of a sudden the price had increased quite a bit.
Where's the deal here what a joke post this is.

I got one they took care of it!! They keep saying they are going to get better messages and can send ones that they write but wish they would stop the condescending messages when they do nothing about it.

I managed to get 2 echo dots and a Wi-fi smartlink plug for £35
Do we know if Prime will be on offer? Mine is due to expire 1st September.

Thx
Anyone think they'll have a good deal on the Switch?
For those who think they manipulate the prices for the sale, put a dozen random items in your basket at non-sale times, and check back daily. Chances are that each day there will be entirely random looking movements in prices. Some products change more than others, but the changes are quite normal. I put what I might want in my basket, check daily and pounce when the price is right. I also use camelcamel.com to check out the history of the price changes. Last week there was a 14yr single malt down 25% from its nrmal price - I dithered overnight and it was gone ....
How can you tell if they've jacked up all the prices recently to make it look like an appealing sale? Are there any online tool checkers I can use because hot votes on this site aren't as reliable as they once were

The answer is in the post directly above you as with most people on here now you didn't read the thread.

I bought something for £1.20 from the warehouse last week and sold it for £50. If that’s stupid then it’s fine with me.

However as others are reporting I have about 10 warehouse items in my bag at any point and yesterday they went up a huge amount one as much as 70% and it wasn’t because it sold

I noticed the same thing with E-bay's 15 percent reduction day, the vendor that I wanted to buy things from had jacked its prices up by 25 percent
