If you are a BITE card holder which is free to anyone who registers online, you need to update your card because the old one will shortly no longer be valid.

If you are not a BITE card holder and want to enjoy 20% off of food and drink at railway stations (and soon to be other Travelwise outlets), you can simply register online today

The BITE discount card scheme has been replaced by the new BITE powered by Travelwise scheme. The new card is plastic and personal to you. And you are now able to update your details by creating an online account and logging in. You may notice that some outlets will start swiping your new card through the till as we roll out a new till system. Apart from that, everything else is the same. You will still be able to get 20% discount on your favourite station food and drink brands including Burger King, Cafe Ritazza, Millies, Pumpkin, Upper Crust and many more...

A must in your wallet or purse if you are a train spotter or frequently use our streamlined national rail network!

Still better than 10% off 30% overpriced food and drink.
Again? I only replaced the last one a few weeks ago.
Thanks for heads up, always good to have one of these
pretty nice, thanks OP. Better 20% off their over inflated prices back in my pocket
Worth it to get a more reasonably priced coffee
I used to use this card at Burger King on the high street during my student days at uni, they never really knew it only applied to stations and failed to read what was written on the card. So I used to get 20% off Burger King meals by them having to use their staff discounts.
Done. Thanks for posting
Forgot this was about to happen - thanks for the reminder OP.
I tried to use mine in Birmingham New Street the other day at the Burger King there, and they told me they've already expired! Interesting to know he told porkies.
Yeah this should be under freebies, and if you already have one you should have already received an email about it.
still dont get it :/... i got 20% off my Starbucks at London Liverpool Street, but at London Bridge they wouldnt take it
Cheers OP, have ordered one, might come in handy over the next few months!
I swear it was only a few months ago I applied for a new one of these when they changed 'em
Got my new card a few weeks ago.

It's now made of plastic with your name printed in front of it.
There's also a hi-tech magnetic stripe at the back.
Much better than the previous paper version

agree, but it makes it just worth it - love to see you make a sandwich on the way home on a train

easy, buy a bread roll or two and a packet of a few meat or cheese slices from a supermarket round the corner, tear bread roll in half, apply a few slices to centre, close roll and apply to hole at bottom of face

30 second job! and no law against it (yet)

if embarrassed to be seen by your fellow passengers constructing your own sandwich it is possible to do this with your hands concealed in the privacy of a carrier bag, or before you board the train

the discount card is a good idea but would have thought that anyone bothered about getting a meagre fifth off the price of something so already overpriced, would probably not be prepared to pay over the odds anyhow, quite apart from the hassle of obtaining a new card
20% off a bloated 150% RRP is still 30% above what it should be. COLD.
C'mon guys stop voting like sheep and WAKE UP.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about this. Have now applied for the new card. If this wasn't voted hot I wouldn't have seen it. Not sure why others complain and vote cold????
For all of those grumbling about the prices, you could just ignore the card. For those that happen to use trains, no matter how infrequently, happen to be at a station, and happen to be in need of some sustenance, then 20% off is better than nothing off. Since the card is free, there's no reason not to get one. Some of you make it sound like they're planning to do their weekly shop there.
I only got mine like a week ago.
Yeah, they were pretty slow with mine too.
interesting note - i've had the new card since they pretty much announced the change several weeks ago, and i used it at birmingham new street's burger king outlet. upon swiping it, the guy at the till asked me what the points were for.

of course, i've not seen any mention of points yet - perhaps this is something they're planning to do with these new cards in the future?
Or perhaps he just misunderstood its use, and assumed it was a points card, rather than just a discount card?
Voted hot - had mine for years now and can't grumble with a 95p ice cream from Burger King on a hot day.
Thanks for the heads up..:)
Cheers OP - been meaning to get one for ages..
A few years back I was Bite's 100,000th applicant...won a hamper, which I then had to lug back to work, then back to the station again and on a standing-room only crowded commuter train Still use the card, but can't say I've noticed the non-discounted prices being as high as 30% inflated...
Cool Nice one op..
Ignore this discount card. My advice would be to ignore overpriced station food altogether. Having this discount card in your pocket will make you overlook the fact the food is extremely overpriced with or without this card and encourage you to spend your money on overpriced station food. If people pay the prices then prices will continue to rise. Talk with your feet and carry your own food or resist t5he temptation to make an impulse purchase and eat when you get home. This is not a good offer
