nice thanks 4 the heads up

Don't waste your time on this ... this really sucks!!!

Poor Sound Quality, Poor Build - The connector at the end of the wire (which connects to your MP3 player) literally broke.
Sorry about not detailing the reason why I said this sucks ... but like I said, I wouldn't waste money (or time, if it is given free) on getting this

You probbaly haft to pay for p&p thou. Be charged at somethink riduclous.

Play don't usually charge P&P why not wait and see before being negative?

If it's a waste of time then please tell us why.
At the moment it seems to me to be a great
promotion.

Poor headphones, you'll only end up putting them in a drawer or in the bin. A good deal if you're too tight to buy a pair of headphones though, so voted hot.

Are these earphones any good? My skullcandy pairs x2 both broke and I've now resigned to using Poundland ones

Maxwell's cheap earphones are horrible. Got in-ear ones for 1p from Big Offers the other month, they feel cheap and the sound is too sharp and high pitched. They also start to hurt after a minute or so.

It's OK if you're buying the Star anyway, but this alone should not sway your mind into buying the newspaper..

Smells like coffee to me.

What do you consider "tight" I have bought a few pairs of headphones around £8 and loved them but as most ones I buy break so easily I stopped using them, or use pound ones(which are awful)

Its not a case of being tight with me but saving cash.

So this doesn't get put in the 'freebies' section I suggest putting the price of the newspaper on the OP.

If you buy the Daily Star you deserve everything you get...

These earphones are ok. I bought these from HMV about 4 years ago for £6.99 and they come with an inline remote, which is handy. The wiring feels really cheap and I haven't got them now. I think they lasted about a year.

Play never charge P&P so seems like a decent deal to me, if your after a spare pair. (lets be honest there's a reason why there giving them away) I'd say there worth £2! there are better ones on mymemory for £3.99, but that's not the point they are FREE!

Couple of things...

Firstly, I'm amazed no-one has asked how the OP knows about this deal? People voting hot on deals before finding out if they are actually happens baffles me.

Secondly, the paper are unlikely to print unique codes (due to cost) so it will be a single generic code or collection of codes so I doubt buying the paper will be essential.

So, anyone willing to cough up the cash please put the code on here? pretty please?

Last time I bought something from play with paper offer they didn't honour and never got my order, and never got reply from my emails. Anything to do with play I never consider a deal.

Someone who recognizes that these earphones are awful, but refuses to pay an extra few quid for a decent pair such as Sennheisers = tight
Someone who doesn't care about sound, and will listen to any earphones = not tight

What a load of rubbish - Maxwell isn't even a real company!!!

I just checked my emails and i have the email. I signed up to Maxell ..... not Maxwell!. At Xmas time as they had some comp going on

Let me see if i can post the pic here brb!!

http://i38.tinypic.com/2u6eihl.jpg

They did this last year.. loads of people got their orders cancelled! I was one of them

Just no pleasing some - as per usual!

If you've had orders cancelled before on similar deals, fair enough. But it IS a freebie so I guess it's more like a competition to get in there before others.

Gotta be worth a go.

I updated my reason why I thought they suck ...

And from other comments from people who have used them, you'll find that my comments about this headphones are True Cheerios and have a nice weekend all.

I think Play sucks!

Got some cheapo phones like this, and the sound quality ruins the music. I don't like paying a lot for these things if I can help it, but I would rather get better than this.

Still, for some, such as kids in the car on the portable DVD this should be OK, and is a bargain.

D.

Cold, you have to buy the Daily Star and no doubt they'll be some catch if any other promotion in any of Dirty Des' other publications are anything to go by.

Was free P&P last time play.com did one of these newspaper promotions on headphones.

Just heard that the Mail on Sunday are giving away free dog poop - bet the same people vote that hot too!
