Thanks for the heads up. It's great to see a mainstream high street store catering for our children. Well done M&S.
excellent
This is brilliant, had my first child recently and thankfully all is well (so far, knock on wood) but I know of others that aren't so lucky..... Nice one M&S!
Good news that will help many - frustratingly for me ,my special needs child hits 16 this year so too late for us!
this is brilliant
well done M&S very nice to see and well spotted op, heat from me
Heads up.
I haven't been on the M&S site (on v slow tinternet connection here) and genuinely wanted to know how special needs clothing differed to standard run of the mill?

From my SN child's point of view it is just about getting popper vests in his size - he is like an adult baby - popper vests are more comfortable as they can't bunch up and leave draughty gaps like ordinary vests would.
Many special needs kids need all-in-one vests / sleepsuits to stop them undressing at inappropriate times or accessing the contents of their nappies!

Oh gosh, never thought of that. In which case credit where credits due @ M&S. What a welcome relief to those needing such simple items but those that are impossible to source in the high street.
I see they are making them for older children up to 8 and some upto 16. Now it makes sense. Good on M&S, it must be a struggle for people who need baby type clothing for older kids. They probably have to spend a lot and go to specialist companies for it or have it tailor made. It's about time a highstreet retailer thought about it. Maybe others will follow suit to offer a wider selection in the future.
Thanks for taking the time to post this excellent deal:D
Realistic pricing and good age range.
I have looked at special needs clothes before but, as with most things for disabled people, the prices were far too expensive.I will be checking the site for when they start selling the teenage sizes.
Well done, M&S.

Tbh I think much of the general population could follow the sentiments too. Great post, heat

Presumably you already know about Fledglings?
I have used rackety's in the past - hopefully M&S will be cheaper!

As you can see from the enlarged picture the link posted takes you to the page of the stock m&s currently have in stock for ages 3-8 years.
From mid april m&s will be expanding their range to 16years. Might be on the same page, who knows. Not many prople even knew m&s stocked this range.

Well have a look at the company I suggested I've been on placement in a GP Surgery and the Doctor recommended them to their patients. I had a look at rackety's just now & they seem rather more expensive.

Well done RitaRothwell for approaching m&s with the idea, and working with m&s to make it happen.
Please give this lady some well deserved credit, aswell as m&s. (see previous posted deal via link above, OP has mentioned in post )

I reckon a post mainly viewed by special needs parents is probably not the best place to call them "unlucky"...

"For the benefit of anybody else picking up this thread ... yes, these are now available. There is a range of girlie (pink stripe), boy (blue stripe) and neutral (grey stars) body suits and sleeping suits, including body suits which have poppers across the tummy for tube fed children. The sleeping suits have poppers all the way up & down the legs, not on the body.

If you look on Marks & Spencer website, search for "3-8 years" (as they are available in the age range 3-8 years). The initial search will only show you what is in stock. To see the full range, scroll down the page and change the Stock Availability filter on the left side to also show out of stock items. They keep selling out of stock within hours of new deliveries, but keep an eye on the website as stock is replenished every couple of days.

And yes, they are affordable prices! Between £3 and £7 an item, depending on the style.

8-16 possibly available in August 2016

The older age range (up to 16) vests are in stock now - white only in short or long sleeved options
I also had a sparks card offer for an extra 20% off clothing which worked on my order.
