Homebase are notorious for it! Let us know if any of the products go up on Saturday!

Would this include fence panels?

Excellent - heat added. Been waiting for a discount weekend to buy a new lawnmower.......we'll see if the put the prices up on Friday.

your talking crap. prices always remain on sale or usual when its 20% off or 15% off.
iv noticed it every time.
I don't blame them putting half price sale stuff back full price other wise people would be paying a quarter if that items price.

Any idea if this includes paving slabs?

Yes includes fence panels and paving slabs,as others have said don't be surprised if they put prices up 20% before they take it off tho!

Then they shouldn't state that its 20% of sale items as well.

Used to work at homebase! It's amazing the amount of people that turn up for these weekend events. Can honestly say that none of the branded stuff is cheaper at 20% off. For example the amount of people that purchase karchers are unaware they are still a lot cheaper to have delivered from amazon.
It's almost impossible to buy a decent lawnmower from homebase and i often felt embarrassed having to recommend products as they are all owned by the home retail company with exception of the flymos and bosch, If you have a decent sized lawn and will make use of a mower then go to a specialist that stocks Hondas, Mountfields and Hayter! The amount of faulty gardening equipment that was returned was a real eye opener. As a sale assistant you are pressured into selling 3 year breakdown cover at ridiculous prices that are only valid for one return in that time period.

Ripping off elderly ladies by selling breakdown cover and signing up young mums to useless credit cards to earn a 89p bonus! Needless to say i handed in my resignation!
Shop around first and do your research!

Does anyone know if this includes plants?

yes

Homebase rip off to start with Not sure how cheap it makes stuff

So expensive, but the clearance deals can me amazing bargains.

Any chance that sheds might be included?

I wonder if this will include pressure washers - my patio could do with a good cleaning!

Hope the 20% is on sheds.......................... the trouble is! ....................... all the sheds are absolutely rubbish.

Thanks Sieen, spot on. Hopefully a few people will take note. Pity its not possible to get the message through to a bigger audience.

I find homebase is at least 25% dearer than other retailers such and B&Q. Sure you will find 1 "bargain" but nothing special

Might sometimes be dearer but you get a better quality of product and a better service! B&Q are sometimes more expensive aswell and you can get things cheaper, every retailer has competitors

I find B&Q more expensive and Homebase cheaper, they also have more offers (proof is in the pudding). X)

However! Wickes is cheaper, and the Range is also cheaper,

Well I need some compost and some lawn feed so will check out prices before the weekend.

Hasn't home base gone or going bust and shutting stores down in the summer ? Better sales then!!

Thanks Sieen - had my eye on a Mountfield just reduced at Screwfix so gone for that instead of the uncertain price of one of the Homebase ones......

Waiting for a decent gas bbq. Found out at the weekend my old one has not survived the winter. Not sure if counts as gardening products (and if stock any half decent models). As with all 'special deals' always still compare to elsewhere and online but sometimes can get a genuine saving.

Need a new lawnmower, currently £120 so will see if it goes up prior to the weekend. Same product on sale at their sister company (Argos) for £110 so even in the 20% sale it will only be £14 cheaper in truth and not £24 that you think you are saving. Amazon doing same mower for £95 but would prefer to buy from a store as its easier to return if you have a problem.

It looks like they are already more than 20% overpriced for the Karcher K2 pressure washer:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/K%C3%A4rcher-Compact-Air-Cooled-Pressure-Washer/dp/B009QX8AOA/
http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=153693
so even after 20% discount it will still be more expensive than Amazon!

Well you cannot compare it with Amazon prices.. amazon is always cheaper that B&Q. Homebase etc.. as its an online retailer!
now i woud prefer pay more 4pounds in homeabse (after the 20% off) as if there any problems with the goods you take it to store and with amazon after the 30days you PAY IT!!

Why are you comparing diferent models??
The one in currys doesn't come with the (expensive) "T50 T-racer patio cleaner"... hence being cheaper!! actually if you look again in currys the same mode as homebase is being sold for 159.99!!!

Spod

Okay then, I'll compare it with Currys - available to collect in store … Okay then, I'll compare it with Currys - available to collect in store and still £85 - so Homebase is still overcharging ...http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/home-appliances/vacuum-cleaners/wet-dry-cleaners/karcher-k2-compact-1-673-122-0-pressure-washer-110-bar-21534966-pdt.html

Waney lap panel, costs about £20+delivery, lasts ~3-4 years if you're lucky, then it's a horrible rotten mess.

Old scaffold boards/decking planks, cost about £3 each, so £24 for 6' height, lasts indefinitely.

does any body know if pressure washers are included?

The 34 is already £89 in B&Q (I posted the deal) and now Amazon. Flubit brought it down to £79, so quite tempted to get it at that price.
